How much would u give Spencer? Plus the guy is always hurt. I wouldnt give him a lot to be honest.

He's got some good talent. I use to be down on him because he has a tendency to disappear for games at a time, but he makes some really nice runs after the catch. I expect him to blossum in this offense.


P.S. Can we please stop giving Davis the ball on short routes. The guy is about as elusive as a goal post.

Disagree but with a caveat! Battle was an extremely crafty WR who often found a way to catch the ball when things broke down. But he was injured a great deal and was not a big play guy. Morgan has more potential I think but Battle was working under less than good coaches and systems. Hard for me to belittle Battle.

That said, I really liked Morgan and hope he has a breakout season. He was a really tough guy two years ago and seems less feisty. Hope he can get that old fighting spirit back. Remember some of the catches he took away from DBs? Would like to see more of that!

We have no other vet QB on the roster who knows Jim's system
Edwards if he plays well the rest of the season (which I think he will)
Ginn....remember when we had horrible ST play, and his speed is a great asset at WR
Goldson would be a small contract-2 years
Spencer because he is the 2nd best CB on the roster

Alex Smith - never thought I would say this but they should extend him. Doing a good job managing games, keep him until a better option is available.



Players I would let walk or offer cheap contracts

Chilo - GTFO
Morgan - make a cheap offer and see he accepts, nothing special in IMO
Ginn - make cheap offer but I wouldn't over pay for him
Edwards - I dont think he will re-sign here
