you do realize he was being held from behind when that happened, right?

Good grief. You all know that Dallas Clark, Jason Witten, and Vernon Davis all have almost identical stats in their last full season? (Note, compare Clark's 2009, since he was injured last year)
I've never seen so much negativity after a WIN in my life.
I think he is referencing more of the style of play of those versus Davis for the WCO system. Davis is more physical, should he figure out how to find the open zones better... damn. Right now, he is most dangerous with the seam route due to his speed.
Actually my point is that people are saying he needs to behave more like DC or JW to reach their level, when the reality is he is already there, no change needed. Let the man go. He missed ONE questionable pass. It's like the whole "Pointy elbows" complaint on supermodels.

Stop hatin on VD. He made some other nice catches and runs after the catch and we won the game.

I was at the game and VD was just looking the wrong way and when he finally did turn his head around, he just saw the safety coming over and was just about to killed. But, he could have at least reached up for the ball instead of duck!

he needs to stop pumping so much iron though. He's way too stiff once he get's the ball in his hands. needs to lean out.

He was being held that play.... should have been a penalty.

He doesn't have the agility of Gates, Whitten and others but we knew that already. He won't make those twisting catches that some of the other TEs make. What he brings is speed to a position that requires the defense to game plan differently.

Yes it should have. I hope Davis learned to at least make it look like an attempt. At least then, it is more likely to draw the penalty.

Jeez, the man was being held. It was a perfectly placed pass, but the guy had a db hanging on him. Should have been called holding for sure.
