MODS - Feel free to merge this mimics any other threads... Who are the surprise cuts in 2011? In particular, I mean guy we expect to make the roster, although we may not want them to. Mine are... FB - Moran Norris -He has serious limits. While he provides a good blocking FB, he cannot pass catch and is consistently slow. Harbaugh's creative offense may lessen the need for a power-running fullback WR - Ted Ginn -Hunter seems to have good vision on kickoffs and they may cut Ginn to keep Ronald Johnson or one of the other UDFA or younger recievers CB - Tarell Brown -We would take a cap hit, but Harbaugh/Fangio may like the Culliver, Adams, and Brock combo over Brown's experience.

I won't say it's impossible that Ginn goes, but it is EXTREMELY unlikely given that Alex likes to throw to him, and his 4.2 speed is an INCREDIBLY valuable asset in a number of ways.

Alex is probably most comfortable with Morgan. If anything, he gets a lot of playing time. Morgan has increased his production by about 200 yards each of his 3 years in the league. His average receiving yards per year surpasses Tedd Ginn Jr. career average per year. This has been with the worst QB/OC situations.

If anyone gets cut, it could be Ginn Jr. If we find a kick returner out of our younger players, Ginn Jr. is definitely expendable.

okie dokie. Roster is set at 87 players right now, must get to 80 by tuesday.

Dont expect Ginn cut at all, has had a great camp, deserves a spot. Morgan should be kept.

Now for the 7 cuts this week.

Who are your cuts?

Nick Howell

I was gonna add Ronald Johnson in there, but I think he'll get one last game to show he was worth drafting. The next round of cuts is gonna be pretty hard IMO.

yeah, i think it'll look something like this, maybe exactly this. I do think Johnson gets cut on Saturday, unless he has a brilliant game Thursday, and heads to the PS.

I am beginning to think that Dixon and RoJo may get cut. Ted Ginn is having a strong preseason and training camp, so he may be sticking around.

They need at least 3 HBs, are you thinking Oman will be the third?

True, true. Omon probably won't make roster. Dixon may get bumped to ST and 3rd string though!
