What we find is much what you would expect: Ben Roethlisberger and Joe Flacco still like to hold onto the ball, while Alex Smith is hit way too often as he's just getting set up in the pocket.

It's bad, people... Outsiders has us as the 4th worst pass protecting OL. We had a miserable OL in weeks 1-4... then it was somewhat decent up until the Ravens game. We are not adjusting well to heavy blitzers, and our OL is too quickly getting shoved backwards... allowing for batted passes, and no real times to find multiple reads.

Thats exactly how I feel. Our offense is lamer than two dudes humping. I'm sick of our defense making more impact plays and being more exciting to watch than the offense.

Byham would be killing it in this offense as a role player. He would be freeing up DW or VD on any given play with his trusted blocking, while still being a receiving threat. He would also probably be taking Soap's role in the Jumbo with increased versatility. I said this back in TC when he first got injured. Similar to Miller who is opening up the offense at the FB position, Byham would help open up the offense as the 3rd TE/extra blocker in the jumbo formation. Peele has been ok, but Byham would be allot more effective. Heres to a hopefully great recovery!

I dont think we've gotten soft. At all.
Our defense is still playing great.
Special Teams playing amazing.
Only thing is the offense.

I think we got out of our identity a little bit.
Too much spread/pass, and not enough execution plays.
If we go back to the power run/play actions, we'll start winning more.

WOW, that really is a crazy stat.

We have been lucky as hell with our schedule this year. Everything has fallen into place with us playing other teams on their short weeks or with major players injured. We will not be so lucky on Monday night. We will get our butts kicked and our O line will look like feeble morons. It will be awful. I really don't know if Alex will survive the beating to finish the game. AND YES, our O-line sucks big time.
