Don't forget that we played a divisional opponent today guys, and it's no surprise that many of those type of games can down to the wire, no matter how good both teams are. The Cardinals were facing players that they've studied and played against these last couple of years. They may not have faced Roman's offense but they know a few of our tendencies.

See Green Bay @ Minnesota earlier this season: 33-27

In this game, we should have EASILY, and I mean EASILY, been up at least 35-0 at halftime, and then won the game 48-7 or whatever. We should have given our starters a REST, and had them more ready for Thursday.
These things should have EASILY happened, if we could just make the easy plays, and own a killer instinct like the 49ers of old.

Gotta disagree, at best 23 points by halftime.

I don't want to go through every play, but I will say this.

This is where we had the ball on the Arizona yard line during the first half of the game.

Arizona Yard line:
- 28
- 31
- 4
- 25
- 12
- 11

That's SIX possessions close to or in the redzone. Against a bad defense, we came away with 9 points. If five of those six are touchdowns, that's 35 points.

OK, we "could have had" 35 points at halftime. Perhaps not "easily", but that is what good offenses do against bad teams. It would have allowed many of our players a critically important rest to get ready for Thursday.

There is no doubt in my mind that upping our RZ TD percentage would make us the best team in the league. We will roll the Packers if we don't squander the opportunities our D gives us.

Red Zone offense needs work, I'd like to see more of Frank Gore in that RZ!

The score is one thing, squandering a million opportunities is another. Minnesota has a good pass rush. The Green Bay O-line is poor. That gives a team with a good pass rush a chance to beat them.

You might be right. It's tempting to throw down there and get cute, but next time we have 1st down from the 15, why not hand it off on 1st and 2nd down no matter what? Chances are pretty good you move the chains, and 3rd and 4 is pretty much the worst-case scenario. 3rd and 10 kills you.

NFC West Total QBR for Week 11: Alex Smith 69.5, Tarvaris Jackson 43.5, Rich Bartel 23.8, Sam Bradford 13.7, John Skelton 0.9. Yes, 0.9.

Thanks, I was wondering how that would come out. Not a bad score for Alex. I'm telling you guys, this QBR thing ain't bad. Alex's has been improving steadily throughout the year.

did you guys know that late hit penalty on Willis today was only his 2nd career penalty? his first came in 2007 as a rookie. the call today was BS too. to have 2 penalties in almost 5 full seasons in crazy.

Yep i still remember that one against the Browns in Cleveland, I believe it was Jerome Harrison he blew up on that play.

Nice dude, I haven't checked out your website for a while, but it's looking pretty good.
Sounds like the noise guard that went out for the cards, Dan Williams is out for the season: broken left arm.
It its pretty evident that the offense works on certain areas they wouldn't normally address during a game against lesser teams.

The play calling is very different than say against Detroit or NY.

I think to an extent the team treats games against lesser opponents as a more intense environment to practice that which needs more practice.....
