And the ball was placed fine... a 6-4 DE had to leap and fully extend to make that pic, it would of hit the receiver right in the numbers. He still made a mistake, but if he was looking at the seem route, noticed the safety coming on a delayed blitz then hit his second read without hesitating going for the first down over the checkdown, its better than a sack or hanging his check down DW out to dry.
Again, it was a great play by the DE, the alternative would be DW decapitated.
A sack is much better then an interception. You can just punt the ball away if you get sacked...
Also, if he hit Walker, he had a chance to get a first down. The DE was playing zone and wouldn't of been able to track down the much quicker Walker. There was seperation there.
