we don't need the trainers putting SPF50 on the QB before he plays an afternoon game.

Seems to me they were trying to jump in front of Cincy, whom they seemed to have known was going to select Dalton.

I've been following this and I think it was Kap all along.
Roger Theder (Kap's trainer) recommended that Harbaugh recruit Josh Johnson when Harbaugh was in SD (http://blogs.sacbee.com/49ers/archives/2011/02/qb-guru-niners.html ). That worked out well, and makes me think Harbaugh would listen to Theder again.
This, combined with Harbaugh and Baalke's descriptions of the QB they want from before the draft (athlete, arm strength, etc), as well as the cheering after the Dalton pick, have been enough to convince me that Kap was the guy.
However, as several 'zoners have noted, it doesn't matter that much at this point. Clearly they valued Kap enough to go through with this trade and seem very happy with the result. I'm happy and excited that this guy is a Niner.

According to this article, there was never any intention to try and get Andy Dalton. This puts my mind more at ease than any other article I've read addressing this specific topic.

Just want to point out on the JLC reporting, I don't think he got one thing right that day. He kept posting about how "This team wants THIS person right now, this is who they're drafting" and then the team would go the completely different direction. Wouldn't trust anything he said.

How old is Beeber? He looks like he's 10 years old.
don't worry, he'll be 18 soon enough.
why do yall keep saying "he"? I see a bunch of girls here in SF that look like that girl...but usually they are into other women.
Apparently that girl is also into other women.

This should end the discussion, but it won't.
Kaepernick was the guy they wanted.
