Most of us have biased opionions but the niners dont have any real weapons on offense. Hes all alone out there and teams just try to stop him. Cant say the same for guess like Peterson Mendenhall Foster etc. Plus he has the worst Oline out of the group

AP should be #1
and Ray Rice????
Gore is better than him. Id put McCoy in front of Gore too
Um Ray Rice loses all of his goal line carries to Willis McGahee, or McClain.
He has Avg 550 + receiving yards the last 2 years
Rushing 1200 + the last 2 years.
In 09 he had 2041 combine yards with 8 tds.
Rice has more total yards the last 2 years compared to gore. Gore is hurt to much. It's a fair ranking. Plus Gore doesn't lose goal line carries to anyone.
Here's the matchup for both players for the last 2 years (total rush & rec yds & tds):
Rice: 3,817 total yards with 14 tds
Gore: 2,831 total yards with 18 tds
UMMMMM??????????????? Speaks for itself. Ray rice is legit. Especially since he splits the load with McGahee especially on the goal line
Ray Rice has a pretty good line blocking for him, Gore doesn't. Rice has had competent coordinators calling plays, Gore hasn't. Rice has a QB that can burn the defense if they only focus on the running game, Gore doesn't. Therefor, Ray Rice is not the sole focus of any defense, Gore is.
Take those numbers and throw them in the trash.
Man, these stats are so... statistical! Boo numbers! BOO!
lol they would even be better if Rice didn't have McGahee. Plus it doesn't help when your not consistantly healthy. that's Gore's problem. First it was the fumbles, then he's always hurt. He's a solid back though, but I'd take a handfull of other RB's over him.

Chris johnson doesn't have any weapons on his team & his o-line is the same

same goes for the Jags.
So we can throw out the whole o-line theory

Gore is past his prime. Still a good RB, but past his prime. The shelf life of a RB is about 3-4 years nowadays.

Gore is the top all around back in the league imo.
Easily top 5 runner with 2 bum knees, top 10 catching passes out of the backfield and prob #1 overall in blitz pickup.

I think he is around 6 or 7. I like gore alot, but he has lost a step and has been injured a few games a year the last few years. I still think he is elite but not better then 6th. IMO

I think a lot of you guys forget that everything that Frank has done has been in one of the league's biggest craphole offenses. Can you imagine what he'd have done with some decent coaching/system/supporting cast?

Well, no one here is saying that he wasn't one of the three or four best RBs in the league for a long time, but after that hip, I'm not sure how much is left.
Hard to believe it, but we've been riding him for six years already. Consider it a blessing he's still been this productive.

It is hard to believe it's been 6 years. Crazy.

WORD. Mendenhall does NOT belong on that list PERIOD. Putting him ahead of Gore is just silly IMO
