Would hiring Harbaugh bring the 49ers some Luck?

I think the 49ers would have to give up too much to get Luck unless Luck pulled an Eli and refused to play for Carolina. (which I wouldn't complain about)

do we think that Harbaugh would bring his offensive staff and encourage Andrew Luck to enter the draft?

If so would the 49ers trade up to get him?

I would love for this to happen and with Jed York's recent Money is no object talk he seems to be ready to take the rest of the NFL Hostage at any moment

Again if this is already a post I totally apologize Go easy on me Mods

Why is it amused Harbaugh would only accept Luck as his QB. I mean Harbaugh has seen Locker play and from coaching college football. Probably could find another half way decent QB.

I think Harbaugh leaving for any team, pro or otherwise, will encourage Andrew Luck to enter the draft. Will the Niners trade up to get him? No. All signs point to Baalke getting the nod at GM (supposedly), and nobody in the current front office has the balls to make such a move.

That would be one of the main reasons I would welcome Harbaugh aboard in that he would get Luck to come out and push for him hard. Although, Carolina could rape us if they wanted to then. Still, I think Harbaugh is good with QBs so maybe he could polish up Locker or one of the other QBs as well so we don't necessarily have to have Luck.
Luck would be great, I just think that we have too many holes for fill. It is a good combo in college but the NFL is different. Not sure if I want to give up the house for Luck but I would be happy if it did work out for us kid is smart.
only way to get Luck is if he pulls an Eli or if we trade our draft away(do not want to do) If Harbaugh is such a great developer of QB's then it shouldn't really matter who the QB is. I can tell you one thing though, you better believe that his first priority will be to get a QB.

That is a good point not only could he polish up Locker but any of the other QB's in the draft........or..........................Nate Davis.....................Alex Smith. Ok long reach but good point.
what a phresh and clever title

Maybe he could work with a 2nd round QB for starter. Not sure if he would want a WCO QB or not because not many colleges run that system. He would have to work with them so it might take more than a year to start. Same goes with say Palmer or Orton. Kolb would know the system though. Still, if we convert to WCO it's going to be tough because do any of our players have any experience with it other than Westbrook who is a FA? I can see a lot of our guys struggling with it.

Only time will tell, I do know that our O has most of the parts as of now. It is a good point.
Plus what scares me if we bring in Harbaugh and convert to the WCO and players struggle how long will it be before everyone starts breathing down his neck? I think with Gruden people would be a little less worried but they see Harbaugh and a rookie HC with players struggling to change the offense they might panic.

I think Raye's backgrounds where the Air Coryell which is a version of the WCO but more down the field passing than Bill Walsh's which is shorter passes. Problem is most of the time we where using Singletary's run offense. Who knows how much different our playbook would be than a coach coming in with Bill's WCO.

P.S. If Gary Kubiak is fired and can't find a HC job I would love to have him as OC. Gruden and Kubiak would make me happy. Jim Harbaugh and Luck would also make me happy though.
