Those guys haven't improved in year 2.

We need stability at the QB position and everything will be fine.

Balmer had a heck of a game last week!

Andrew Luck 2011!

People still believe in this dream. Wow. We now have not 1 win, not 2, not 3, not 4, but 5 wins. We are so far out of the Andrew Luck sweepstakes I don't even know what to say. I'm astonished some people still hold onto this dream.

THIS! Andrew Luck will not be a 49er next year. All of the "Pro-Clausen" fans might have a chance because IF Luck is available when Carolina is on the clock, which being they suck so bad he should be, they will take him and trade Clausen for multiple picks with a 2nd rounder being the highest.

Am I saying I want Clausen? No I'm not but I am saying we have a better shot at getting HIM than we do drafting or trading up to get Andrew Luck. We have 5 wins people and we will destory Arizona in week 17 so regardless of what happens with SD and STL, we will end up with AT LEAST 6 wins which will put us WELL out of the Andrew Luck sweepstakes unless we trade our whole draft and a new head coach, unless his name is Josh Mcdaniels or Mike Ditka , will not be stupid enough to do that

Da point is that we need a QB. If we can get LUCK it would be a dream come true and that's what I would love for christmas!

You have to trust your guy to get the ball at times. I think Alex has small balls too often and that along with his accuracy hurt him.

If you're Alex (or Troy) why on earth would you trust Crabtree? What has he ever shown to earn any sort of trust? Even Morgan deserves more trust. It's a shame that Zeigler got hurt, because that was who Alex seemed to trust the most.

umm doesnt he have more catches and tds than morgan, didnt he make 2 badass catches against the rams, yeah 1 didnt count but it was still great

I think he is an athlete who was head and shoulders above the talent level in college, and still does not realize the his talent is only average in the pros. His route running is very sloppy. He rounds off his cuts and use head fakes when most WR coaches frown upon unnecessary movement. At this point he doesn't play the game fast. Although, I think he has kept up his end of the bargain being an effective blocker on run plays. If he pulls the TC no-show routine next year we will know he is not worth it in the long run.

Agreed. Crabtree has been a clear disappointment this season. His greatest asset coming out of college was supposed to be his hands, but so far, he has shown to be very unreliable - with either Smith at QB.

His route running needs a large improvement. Even more so when it's pointed out on television by commentators. I've been brought down to Earth about Crabtree. At this point, I can't see him as anything more than a possession receiver.

ya. he's basically where VD was a couple of years ago.

immature.

but just like VD he can go the right way, or the way of many other you know what WR's.

VD was still an exceptional blocker, with loads of raw physical talent and ability.

Crabs isn't overly fast, quick, strong, deceptive, or sure handed. Had he preformed all drills at the combine I think we would have more proof of that. He is not very good in any aspect of being a WR at this point.

I agree. He wasn't worth the #10 pick. Especially when you consider all the headaches he put us through. You can still see his pouty Diva attitude when Alex is in the game. He doesn't even try hard. He reminds me of Moss. "He plays when he wants to play." He's kind of a punk. Somebody needs to punch him in the mouth. Vernon almost did this year. Maybe it would have been better if he actually did.

2 years in it's clear he is not a real talent like Dez Bryant. I don't think Crabtree is terrible. Just not great.

He's extremlely good in the open field, and at times can make the tough catch in traffic.

Once he learns how to ru routes, he's going to be okay. I don't think he's a T.O./Fitzgerald type #1A receiver, but he can be an Anquan Boldin type #1B with time.

I think he may walk but he will not get the contract he thinks he deserves. He is not going to be a dominant #1 without major help from a great #2. Fantastic college player but its not showing up on Sundays, and we are paying a lot for a no show. Sad that we tried to feed him the ball so much and created a lot of INT's because of it.

With the lazy routes, bad hands, tipping it into the air, lack of speed and zero practice habits I certainly wouldn't call him a legit #1. Anybody who does certainly doesn't understand anything about football.

you're right. The criticism directed towards Crabtree is very much reminiscent of the criticism that was heaped on Davis in the past few years. Only hope is that the light goes on for Crabtree like it did for Davis.

I'm not sure how much effort Crabtree is putting into improving though. One thing VD has always done was work his ass off to improve. VD legitimately wants to be the best in the game.

Nope, we need a good coaching staff and a good system before everything else. Without that in place, a QB will always have a tremendous uphill battle.
