And yeah Sullivan sucks monkey butts too.

Look at all the QBs' this season. The good QBs' have protection and the ones that are barely keeping their heads above water, do not. A lot of people wanted us to sign McNabb in the offseason. Well he's not exactly lighting anyone up. Favre is getting his head kicked in and he's playing like it.

Our QBs' not only are hamstrung with a bad line but the play calling is so amateurish at best. How can any fan hold our QBs' accountable? As much as I didn't like Martz, firing him was a mistake. Which I pointed out when he was fired. Still, Raye wasn't bad but the philosophy was not good enough to take advantage of the talent we have on the team. I still have no idea why Westbrook is so limited in the plays. The only reason I can see for his signing at this point was to keep him out of the backfield of our Opponents. Which makes sense but might as well use his talent in the process.

Like I said before and will keep saying we need a respectable OC who has the anonymity to implement his own game plan. The team is still behind Sing and when you have that you keep it. But he's not an Offensive minded guy. It's not money that is keeping good coordinators from signing with this team. So people cannot really blame it on the "cheap" Yorks.

The bucs had a terrible O-Line and they moved everyone around. They didnt care who was drafted to play where or what round. They dont have the greatest O-line but they are good enough now. The niners refuse to do this. The stick by guys who under perform. Rachel may be the worst starting OL in the league. He is such a wuss. They need to grow balls and hurt some players egos and move them around. When they start winning the hurt feelings will go away.

Brandon from Tucson, Ariz., writes: First off, love your work. I've never been more informed than I have been with your blog. My question is pretty simple. How would you rate the 49ers first round draft picks, so far this season.

Mike Sando: Thanks, Brandon. I expected the 49ers' offensive line to show greater improvement over the course of the season.

Left guard Mike Iupati, the 17th overall choice, has fared about as well as I would have expected. He has some technique issues, but he's strong and less of a concern in part because guards are easier to help out.

Anthony Davis' inconsistency at right tackle has been more problematic for two reasons. One, the 49ers traded up two spots to draft him 11th overall. Offensive linemen drafted that early would ideally step right in without significant growing pains (Rodger Saffold in St. Louis and Russell Okung in Seattle come to mind). Two, Davis plays a position more critical to overall offensive health.

The 49ers have had to shuffle their line unexpectedly twice this season, making it tougher for them to worry about protecting rookies. Iupati probably would have been better off working with Eric Heitmann at center all the way through. The 49ers have arguably failed Davis by insisting upon leaving another young player, Chilo Rachal, next to him at right guard when a veteran presence might have provided welcome steadying (particularly with Rachal struggling, by all accounts).

It's truly unfathomable how Chilo Rachal is in the line-up. He is truly a bust. He is terrible. He is actually so bad that he makes the ENTIRE line worse. EVERY SINGLE TIME that he is out, our line looks better. EVERY time.

Singletary looks at draft position and goes "oh he must be the right fit here" f**king moron. I can't wait for Singletary to be fired.

And wtf is up with Heitmann? I thought he would be back weeks ago??

Oh okay thanks for that.

And it doesn't matter? It does matter. It matters because it shows how inept and pathetic our coaching staff is. In the NO game, Snyder played a gem of a game. His reward? The bench. Because the turnstile, whiffing machine of Chilo Rachal was drafted higher and supposedly has "potential."

Like I said earlier, I can't wait for Mike Singletary to be fired.

ya like i said it doesn't matter. singletary's not gone there aren't likely to be any changes. i hate just as much as the next person if not more (I BACKED THAT f n TURKEY of a HC) but ive come to accept that he is TERRIBLE HC and his decisions are not well thought out concerning many matters including the OL. has he even suggested chilos job was in trouble? not to my knowledge and if he did it seems as if was an idle threat at best.

im not saying you're wrong at all just sayn for right now since we know it's not going to change why get ticked. just get ready for 6 more weeks of garbage ball

Gotcha. My b. I agree with you completely. This staff has been more of a hinder this season than anything else. I say you could place a lot of these losses on them as the main factor.

LOL

Grandma's Boy.
Sing pulls the trigger quickly on some issues, but really let's others just sit there. Isn't Wragge a decent backup guard? I would think just putting Wragge in instead of Rachal would be a improvement...

That's a change, right? Technically?
