YES. Alex wasn't playing this bad when he went down.

Singletary is going to look like a retard either way. First he fully backed Alex and that didnt work out. Then he threw Smith under the bus and fully backed Troy...and now he got figured out...and here we are.
It took two games to figure out Troy. Our coaches should have known this...and we make NO adjustments at halftime? None.
This falls squarely on the coaches. I don't give a sht about QB right now.

Troy Smith was pathetic. I thought I was watching "old Mike Vick" counting all the times he ran the ball. Most of his passes were not even close unless the receiver was wide open. I think Alex sucks a little less than Troy.

BUT...this game shows what every reasonable person knows...the problem is COACHING. The Bucs figured Troy out...and we got fvcked. It is what it is. I dont blame Troy. He tried and did what he could. Game planning and play calling sucks.
Troy WAS NOT figured out. The worst rush defense in the NFL held Gore to 23 yds on 12 carries!
Are you kidding? The Bucs had 8 sacks all year and they got 6 sacks today. They contained Troy in the pocket and when he rolled out he got sacked a couple times as well.
Sorry to disappoint.

it doesnt matter who we put behind there, the gameplan we have coupled with our offensive line has made it effectively impossible to do anything.
people wanna blame the qb(whoever it is). but the one constant in our losses is the inability of the offensive line. we couldnt run today and we couldnt protect the qb

It doesn't matter, we could have Joe montana in his prime and with this coaching staff we would find a way to lose! It's over the Fat Lady has been singing for weeks!

I'd rather see Troy... we already know what Alex is capable of... Nothing!

No, cause in singletary's eyes Troy Smith played well
Well in my eyes singletary sucks as a head coach.
this...this ..and this!! I hope this seals the deal for Singletary, and troy smith is not the answer at QB either people.

23 yards...23 yards...against the worst run defense in the NFL. That's all I have to say.
seven-man fronts all day, playing against a zone secondary -- nobody was open so he had to scramble
23 yards against the worst run defense playing a seven-man front...unbelievable!

Once our O gets figured out the coaching staff seems absolutely incapable of making any adjustments. Hill was definately "figured-out" last year but defenses can't seem to figure him out this year. I wonder if coaching staffs have anything to do with that?

Why do people keep saying that?
We had 6 pass attempts in the first half. We came out the second half still handing off to Gore. Then in the fourth quarter we decided to pass. He threw one INT, big deal. From that point on they took away the big play, our Oline couldn't block, no one got open. We couldn't adjust on O.

we have nothing to lose now, i feel alex should start next week...i feel alex should've come in at the beginning of the 4th quarter....when an offense that lacks talent at the qb spot, has been ineffective all day, particularly ineffective at the QB position, then u bring in the next guy and see if he can spark the O...that's something good head coaches do...for some reason we weren't running the hurry up ....this baffles me as well...what the hell do these guys do in practice...i agree with the guy who said "let alex finish off the season, get his parting shots in, and let em audition for next year....heck its not like he lost the job in the first place....troy earned the last 2 starts, now after playing horribly, he needs to sit...guess we'll see if sing stays true to his word and if its really a week to week evaluation.

I'm not enthusiastic for A. Smith to regain his job, but let's be fair. Smith had to play against tougher teams (excluding the Panthers game when he was injured, combined record 35-21) where the combined records of the three teams that T. Smith played against are 13-14.
