Most miserable era this decade?

Most miserable era this decade?

I would have to say all of the above.
I would like to blame more on Nolan. He had way too much control, which is also a fault of the Yorks, but he drafted so many "Nolan Guys" which I think closed the door on us from a lot of talent with some baggage. Now years later, we lack over all team speed, and the overall turnover of his staff wouldn't happen with a strong experience coach.
Erickson had an old beat up team his first year, then lost ALL his talent the next!!

Nolan actually did well his first 2 seasons then f**ked up in 07 and half of 08..

Singletary did well taking over in 08, was mediocre in 09 with a pretty solid team, and probably f**ked up MOST out of all coaches this season b.c of the expectations and talent level.. so its kind of like pick and chose
Erickson era by far. Least we have good players this time around.

I agree but it depends on which way you look at it. Erickson had literally nothing. Dad-gum has the most talent we've had in 8+ years and can't do s**t with it.

What difference does it make, you are what your record says you are.
To me the Erickson era was the worse because it was first real time that the 49ers as we knew them had ended. We were truly like an expansion franchise.

My reasoning as well. It was like throwing whiteout on all of our previous expectations and history.
