I can't see how we win this game.

On defense:

They are 6th in the league in sacks (23) and allowing an opposing QB rating of 76.3.

Broncos are 29th in the league in sacks (9) and allowing an opposing QB rating of 93.6.

Their defense is 8th against the rush and 6th in points allowed.

On offense:

Bradford has done a good job for a rookie, but they have been very conservative in the passing game. He's only completed three passes that were thrown over 20 yards. Bradford has a rating of 104.4 when throwing behind the line of scrimmage.

We stubbornly continue to play a four deep shell coverage scheme while pinching the front seven to focus on stopping the run. This opens up both the short passing game in the 1 - 10 yard range, it leaves a HUGE void on the perimeter to allow easy check downs and screen passes. This plays directly into their hands.

They just picked up Michael Lewis, who knows our defense as well as anyone.

I are scared. Somebody hold me.

Nobody is gonna hold me? Talk me down? Well, damn....

::commits emocide::

they are 0-3 on the road

You are welcome

wow this division is sooo f'n pathetic

Most of the NFC division is open rite about now & that's a good thing for us!

The combined rating of the three QBs the 49ers will be facing is 72%, plus or minus a fraction.

Bradford has come back down to a very rookie-like 75% rating. Hasselback is at 70% and Anderson is 67%. All are in the bottom 8. If the defense cannot stop THOSE guys then this team will not win.

Rushing is not much better.

Rams are ranked 17 with 106 yds/game.

Cards are 28, 88/yds/game.

Seahawks are 29, 83 yds/game.

With numbers like that, it does give some hope that this team might get to 7 or 8 wins for the season.
We'll see how well Bradford does against pressure cause Sing better have our LB's and Linemen getting in his a$$!!

Even if Troy Smith plays to the level of Jeff Garcia, we are going to lose a few games just because we were out coached. Idiots like Dingletary are regularly beaten by teams with less talent, who are better prepared on Sunday. This team has trouble winning on the road, a 4-4 finish is probably the ceiling 5-3 at most, 6 or 7 wins isn't making the play-offs even in the NFC West.

Every game they play now is big because they left no room for error.
