I think Hill would've been the perfect stop gap to groom a new rookie QB. Look at his numbers and turn out in Detroit. Stafford went down with his shoulder injury and Hill stepped right in and put up some wins. Sing said it himself, he didnt want Alex to have any competition, yet Alex still failed miserably.
