Yeah but it falls on Sing. He could have cut Carr in preseason and go with Nate Davis as the backup or bring someone else in in like they did eventually with Troy Smith.

Cause it was an easy throw that should have been made by TRASH CARR. Davis did the same thing by getting mad after Carr OVERTHREW his ass by miles on the first pass play by carr when Davis was Wide the f**k open. START TROY NEXT WEEK.

I agree. My wife was at the game with me, and she asked me why the 49ers weren't throwing the ball as much. I told because the coaches don't have faith in David Carr to make a play. A lot of his passes came up short - his first one to Davis bounced off the turf, then the interception thrown to Crabtree was short, too.

I think the game would've had a different outcome with Smith still in at QB. Oh, well. I guess we wait again 'til next year. (I'm getting tired of saying that, by the way.)

I was at the game (just got home from a 2 1/2 hour drive) and Crabtree looked to be running a streak route, but Carr threw it short. As soon as Crabtree realized it was picked off, he turned around and touched the player to make sure he was down. I didn't notice any disinterest on Crabtree's part.

Crabtree was also blanketed by 2 DB's, doubt he even expected a pass his way.

When taking about our offense, "blanketed" means there was a 2-3 yard passing window.
When talking about our defense, "wide open" means there was barely a 6 inch passing window to make the throw.

Moore played a fantastic game, and our DB's had pretty good coverage. Our pass rush wasn't that great, but Moore made good throws even when he had a collapsing pocket.

The only game where we faced worse overall quarterback play was against the Raiders. Wonder why we won that game?

Although punching him in the head would only jack up his hand and he needs those to catch. Players are no doubt tired of the under/over thrown passes, the overuse of Gore that will lead to him being hurt by week 12, and the lack of good coaching to fix the mental errors that keep occurring. The db's are the worst in the NFL, now that teams have figured out putting OLinemen on Willis, he is now neutralized and all this while have a coach who is clueless to how to fix it. I like Singletary as a man. he seems like he is very dignified and a man of his beliefs. But I am too. And my belief is that he is at the root of a lot of this chaos and the players now know it.

The guy I would love to interview isn't any of the players who have left. Not Jimmy Raye. It's Tom Rathman. Rathman would be the guy who would really have the best insight because of his unique perspective of having coached with this joke of a staff under Singletary and having played for the one of the best coaches of his era, Walsh.

I noticed the same thing through out the game. Moore seemed to be able to drop passes in to his WRs with impeccable precision, while Carr couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. The Panthers seemed to do a good job of picking up our blitzes and negating our pass rush, which allowed Moore to have time to throw the ball.

I just don't see the fire and desire that the team had last year, especially on defense. My only conclusion, much like many others on this forum, is that the players are no longer buying Singletary's motivational, rah-rah-rah, sis-boom-bah speeches.

I believe they want someone who is innovative, creative, and aggressive on both offense and defense. Maybe the players see how Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, and New England are consistently at the top of their divisions every year, and they want the same thing for the 49ers.
