The 49ers defense is great at making mediocre QB's look like hall of famers. So look for Moore to have a big game, especially with Clements out and Will James starting in his place. Look for the Panthers to target James in the passing game.

So far everything I have been reading suggests that Clements will not play.

I agree use the passing game to set up the rushing game
Oh and I guess getting pressure on the QB is important too.

Yeah, both of those.

It lies on the east coast regardless of where the US Census Bureau classifies it. It's on the Atlantic and is on the east coast's time zone. It's an east coast game for the Niners.

Panther O-Line has had real problems this year. Of course, any 0-5 team is going to have an offensive line with problems I guess. Moore didn't play that badly down the stretch last year. He can get the ball down the field much better than Clausen so I think he gives the Panthers a better chance. Who knows how Clausen will eventually turn out but he doesn't seem to be near ready now.

DUH! any game played on the eastern area of the United States is an EAST COAST game, but that doesn't change the fact that North Carolina is considered a Southern State. No one is arguing the fact that the game is being played on the East Coast.
But based on your theory, there's no such place as Northern or Southern California. They should all be called Western or West Coast California. LOL!

Yeah this hurts us because Clausen is worse than Moore and getting to face the rookie QB would be nice.

If any team playing the 49ers keeps it close and makes two or three plays they have a chance to win. Until proven otherwise the 49ers score little and make mistakes which gives every team a chance.

The team playing us doesn't have to keep it close because Singletary will make sure that happens all on his own. We're up by 3 in the second quarter, sounds like prime time to start running out the clock right Sing?
