Optimism Anyone?

It's a sad day when 49er fans are satisfied and optimistic after a 0-4 start. Ya we are in a weak division, but damn we are one of the worst teams in the league. I would rather get this season over with then go into the playoffs with a 7-9 record. Let's let A$$hole Smith finish the season, lose his job and start over again. We would just get humiliated in the playoffs anyways...

My optimism is that we are inching closer to having a new QB and HC.

im definitely not satisfied with 0-4 for start, but reality is we are the most talented team in the NFC west. so youd put your money right now to the "division leaders" cardinals (having qb issues again) or the st louis rams??? We win this divsion and lose 2-3 games here on out...10-6 or 9-7, as long as we get there.

Nah, I'm good. Pessimism and despair suits me just fine.

Even if the team won the division at 7-9 while paying the kind of football they have been the season is still a failure. Its one thing if Smith plays well over the next games and the team starts to meet expectations. That won't happen though. I think a coaching and QB change inevitable this off season

If we go 5-1 in division play then we could make the playoffs, and we've already shown that we can play up to the level of so-called better teams. Perhaps the 0-4 start is a good thing for a team that has been hearing that theyre gonna walk away with the division since the end of last season. This gigantic slice of humble pie could be the wake up call that niner nation needs. i wouldnt reccommend making any major changes at qb or with the coaching staff until we are undoubtedly eliminated. I dont like Alex at qb either but right now he is the most prepared and know the offense better than the other guys, so percievably he is our best choice to win, we could easily be 2-2 if it werent for a few plays. But look at it like this "0-4 49ers rally to win 9 out of their last 12 games to make the playoffs" would be a wonderful headline, and it is an achievable one, lets just see how our guys respond, I feel like the offense is overdue for a breakout game, will i happen next week?
Only the 1992 Chargers have come back from a 0-4 start to make the playoffs and they didn't get far

I'm all in and will never give up on the team!
Its much easier to hate and blame Smith, OC, HC, etc., but while I'm very disapointed in the team so far, I do see hope.
Even the Sunday night crew were saying that we are still in the NFC West race and I know some of that is to get the people to tune in but I'll take anything at this point.
