He's already been caught lying before....so it's not a stretch.

There were simple outs to these questions too (aka: " I have no comment', or "I am not at liberty to discuss internal team matters"....he didn't have to lie at all.

How in the eff does a coach make a CRITICAL decision like this w/o talking to ownership...who pays his bills. Someone is lying here big time! Not to mention, Mike Johnson now has a promotion and those details need to be discussed as well. I don't buy this at all.

Either Sing is lying or we really DO have a totally inept front office. What owner/GM in their right mind wouldn't be in the locker room IMMEDIATELY after the game to discuss what needs to be done?

Yep, I'm leaning towards the latter in my statement. Singletary seems to be brutally honest most of the time and I can't see him suddenly lying just to save face. To me this falls on an inept front office that doesn't take on the serious issues that need to be resolved. I hope we can get some more information on how it took place. Did Singletary really make the hard decision? Did Jed York REALLY not talk to the staff right after this game? How is the chain-of-command used in this type of situation? Barrows, WE WANT ANSWERS!!!

Don't buy this. Singletary has said on more than one occasion he doesn't know offense. So why would he be telling Raye what to do.

raye's recent comments suggests that he was thrown under the bus by sing...sadly, if sing expects his coordinator to merely follow sing's smashmouth offensive philosphy, then there is no hope for the future. sing will likely be fired in a couple of years, then with the new coach, there will be another few years of rebuilding.....that means another 5 + years of mediocrity.....sad....
