This team doesn't need to be blown up, it just needs a good qb and good coaches who know what the hell they're doing. That said I do believe a 9-4 record is possible and I really hope they can finish strong, but then what? The window to win is so short and I believe this team is pretty close to returning to a winning franchise, but not if they are led by those 3 losers in Singletary, Smith and Raye. I hate to say this and hopefully I'm proven wrong and the niners make the playoffs and win the superbowl, but I think what's best is to get rid of Singletary and Raye, sign Smith to a 1 year deal or sign a better qb in the offseason, draft a qb with their first pick and hire a new HC and OC. In 2-4 years the niners will be much better because of this. Unfortunately this means waiting another few years to be relevant again. In a perfect world the Yorks would sell the team back to Eddie D but that would be a miracle.

Aside from those games, the rest of our schedule is fairly easy. The next two biggest challenges will be our home game against Philly in Week 5 and our road game against the Chargers in Week 15.
This season is far from over. Three game losing streaks happen to good teams. But if we are a good team, and I truly do believe we are, we will rebound... even if we lose again next week.
Sorry to be trollin' but these happy go lucky Niners fans who post these so call 'inspirational threads' are delusional!! The sooner they accept the Niners are 0-3 and that's the season is a disastrous debacle the better this forum don't have to bother reading and replying to these threads.

i see where youre coming from, but we cant lose next week, we need revenge on those Falcons, theyve been pretty annoying these last few seasons.

I wish I could share your optimism, but I can't.. The 49ers looked dreadful yesterday, complete out witted and over matched. If the 49ers play as bad the rest of the season as they did yesterday or 2 weeks ago in Seattle, we'll be lucky to win 5 games.
I have serious doubts about the leadership of this team. I think Sing doesn't have any answers and his rah rah style falls woefully short of what is needed from the Head Coach.
The offense is so predictable and unimaginative that other teams don't have to devise schemes to shut us down. It's almost like opposing defenses know what plays are coming. There was a glimmer of hope after the NO game. The offense looked like an NFL caliber offense. They moved the ball, racked up yards, protected Alex and most of all scored some points.
The defense has now given up 31, 25 and 31 points. This was the unit that was going to be the backbone of the team. So far this season, the defense can't create turnovers, generate a consistent pass rush, get off the field and has no clue how to defend screens or swing passes.
The schedule for the 1st quarter of the season looked tough on paper and it's turned out to be tougher than we could have imagined. It would be one thing to go 0-3 but to play as badly as this team has... well it's just hard to find any silver linings or reasons to be optimistic that the team is on the verge of a dramatic turnaround..
