No Kool Aid for me, thanks. 0-2 is 0-2 and in typical Niner fashion, we now seem to have seen tonight how good Smith can look and how his leadership skills are coming along, only now to have a new issue with the defense and its inability to be finish strong and be aware at the most crucial of times. Tipped passes aside, the offense looked very impressive.
The part of our team we thought was our strongest, is truly a question mark outside of Willis, Franklin and Justin Smith. Haralson and Lawson need to be replaced by La Boy and Brooks for a game or 2 just to let them compete for playing time and that's just the start of the needed changes or fixes the defense needs. The DB's are horrible and will continue to be exploited until they prove otherwise.

Good to see everyone slurping the 'Moral Victory' kool-aid.

Am I disappointed HELL YA..but what ya going to do .To see them handle the Saints and come to play like they did was just encouraging especially after last week.... There is no moral victory in NFL you win or lose.. but the 9ers can hold their heads high and definitely build off what I seen tonite
Just like they did when they lost the Vikings last year.
Or how about when we were in the 1st rd of the playoffs in 1987 and got man handled by the vikings... that was last year..and that was 23 yrs ago.. do we just quit??

I just hate being negative 24-7 then claim I love this team so much... I like to support my team and focus on the positives instead of sit behind a cpu screen and cry and do nothing about it. Act as if I could do any better. If I were you and didn't want to drink the kool-aid anymore I would go root for someone else. Common sense sais so. Claiming to be a fan, and being constantly negative just doesn't seem very faithful.
I'm proud of this team. I hope we can learn from this experience and quite making so many stupid mistakes. We can play with them, if we don't shoot ourselves in the foot. Losing sucks, but there's not much I can do about it besides stick with the team and be a fan. I'll drink the 9er Kool-aid til I can't drink no more. No reason not to IMO.

If moral victories counted for anything, we'd be the five time defending moral victory champions. End of the day a loss is a loss. We still make the dumb mistakes at the worst times.

D Walk and Adams lost the game. Alex played like a pro.

I am not disappointed in special teams much as it is a relatively new group. Adams has a real talent for punt returns and he will get better. Between he and Kyle Williams
this should be ok. I am not all that fond of Ginn but this team can be pretty good if the coaching allows it. I think the fact we have many newbies will even out by mid season. I thought the fact of playing Anthony Dixon was great. Part of the problem for the niners was the poise of the team. They were playing on overdrive too much and that makes for mistakes. I believe they will settle down to be more consistent.
Alex really took some steps. He needs to tell the coaches to go f**k themselves sometimes. I think anyone who watches the niners can say the team has talent but the coaches are abysmal. I think the niners need a bigger pass rusher. I mean a slightly larger stronger DE. I think Tukuafu is raw but of all the guys around he has the best fit to help where we need help. If he gets a bit stronger, he could bring more consistent pressure. Parys Haralson seems slower and for a pass rusher, it's not good and he is not that fast. I actually think Adams and Brock might help a lot by the end of year. Tarell Brown seems more limited then these rooks. This team has a lot of rookies who are going to be a lot better. I just wish I had more faith in the coaches but that is like hoping for the impossible. On the other hand I think the team could improve a lot. It is good to see guys like the OL and Byham and Anthony Dixon and the dbs get to play. I can't fault playing youngsters and rookie mistakes but there is
a lot of sloppy preparation and just plain lousy coaching that just needs cleaning and not just a washcloth but a full fledged session with a fire hose.

If you watched the game correctly, you'd see that:
1. LAWSON: Saved us in about 5 different plays with important tackles and QB pressures.
2. The DB's played great...Drew Brees targetted the TE/RB's double the amount of his WR's
WHAT GAME WERE YOU WATCHING...
GO NINERS

not when it mattered the most. i want haralson replaced by brooks or laboy permanently, and easily said our secondary is screwed till the off season. there were times they actually gave brees no where to throw

0-2.
7 years and counting of no play-offs.
But seriously though, keep hanging on to hoping these moral victories will one day change.
Would you rather we got blown out by 45 - 9?
More victories ARE real, they DO exist.
It IS better to lose like that then to get blown out, right? Obviously it is.

we started out 3-0 last year and where did that get us??? theres plenty of football left boys.
