Revised season predictions knowing what you know now.

I was predicting the same record as you. What now? Hell if I know.

I was expecting a dominating performance against the rebuilding Seahawks, and that went totally wrong. This week, everyone is expecting the Niners to get worked on national TV against the defending champs. If they play up to their pre-season hype, they could win a low scoring game against the Saints.

9-7 at the best.

We have a HC who yells at the media when they ask tough questions and has no coaching answers. Just motivational speeches. And we have among the weakest ownership I've ever seen in any sport. They hire and stick with idiots for years and years at a time. You just don't recover from something like that very quickly.


So knowing what I know now. I'd say 1 - 15.

Bro your so optomistic! Dude after one game that was probably a fluke you predict the worst? Wow how can you even think to call yourself a niner fan. I would have thought a vet like you would show our team a little optomism

Wow you are selling them out this early? Have some faith man. Its one game into the season and your already pouting. Let me tell you something, The 1994 49ers started the season terribly and at one point steve young was taken out and replaced in a 33-8 loss to the eagles. But that was the turning point!! Steve got fired up and wanted to mangle Seifer for what he did. Thats when the team truly started to look at young as their leader. The next game against the lions they turned things around jump started their season again. 33-8 was a worse score than 31-6 and they played a hell of lot worse to. It was not even on the road. So let me tell you something mr 1-15, HAVE SOME FAITH!!!!! It only takes one game to turn a season around.

7-9 or 8-8 at best. With this offense we are not going to outscore many teams, therefore, we will always trail, and we are not a type that could come from behind and win a game.

The talent is there for a 10-6 season but one of those wins went away last Sunday - that leaves it 9-7. However, of greater concern is Singletary's lack of ability to deal with crisis situations, both on and off the field. I like him but he must find a more stable, consistent attitude if he is to regain control over this team.

Yes, I said "regain,"because I believe the players ARE upset with the poor play calling and place a good deal of the blame on the staff. Players are not stupid automatons. They know there is a problem that they cannot fix on the field. Therefore they will be less likely to play hard for the coach than they would if they had full confidence in the staff.

All of this means an 8-8 season is the logical answer unless the coaching staff can get things back together between now and Monday night.

For God's sake, man. Get a grip.

I'm not so sure the NFC West title is a solid as some think. Seattle made a lot of changes from last season and the changes they made were very good ones. Their DL is much better than most assumed. They are strong, quick and active. With Lofa Tatupu in the middle of that 4-3 front seven, they are strong against the run. The secondary with Thomas is going to be solid as long as the starters are healthy. Hasselback is a quality QB, and as long as he stays healthy, this is a team that is just as capable of winning the West as the 49ers.

The problem is I think we are going to go 0 - 2 almost certainly. You remember what the Falcons did to us the last time we played and this time it's at their house. The Chiefs have a lot of good young players and are up and coming. So 0 - 4 is really possible. And KC is really loud and a tough place to play.

If we are 0 - 4 we will implode and there will be infighting. There already is after one loss. This is going to get ugly.

I agree that 0-4 and we would be toast. I also know that the NFL is game-to-game and all the misgivings we showed against the Seahawks could completely flop towards us. Afterall, the Cards were a better team than us last year, yet we beat them twice. The seahawks play us really well. Other than monster games by Gore, we get pwn3d by them. So lets re-evaluate after Monday night!

LOL! Comparing a team that had a tradition of domination along with a HOF QB to one that has a culture of losing and BHOF (Bust Hall of Fame) QB Smith is really funny. That is the definition of an improper analogy. Have the 49er fans become so degraded that they are willing to compare this trainwreck to teams of old? The fans actually deserve some of the blame actually because we continue to support this abomination of a team despite losing year after year. Stop buying tickets! Make the Yorks sell! That was one of the big factors for Cohan selling last year (besides his tax troubles)-- he saw attendance declining, and weak season ticket sales. Prior to that, Warrior fans were co-dependents in the losing tradition. People like you who continue to have "faith" are the fools that the Yorks count on to keep afloat. I have been a fool before, but I refuse to put a cent into their coffers until they put out a winning product or go away. The fans have no other option to change things. If you REALLY cared about the team, you would be critical, not supportive. So many people are quick to say that you are not a "true" fan unless you support the team at all costs. BS! You guys are not helping the situation at all.

I am not predicting 1-15 because we do have some talent, but I think they will be 8-8 at best this year.
