Not really bro, this time around its gonna be more calm because most of us already are expecting to lose.

Expectations were too high going into that Seattle game. It will probably prove to be a good thing over time.

Agree. I snapped out of my funk Wednesday.

I came to the realization that the worst case scenario is that this team is about as good as it was last year with more seasoned players.

We could have won 2-3 more games last year. So 9-10 wins is still quite doable if they iron out the issues with the offensive play calling. Most importantly, last year's team could get on a roll and compete with anybody, including the Saints.

I'm ready for Monday.

i'm with ya it took me till wednesday to get over that loss to, i did go back and rewatched the game and it wasn't nearly as bad as i remember it alway seems worse in the heat of the moment

I think everyone was buying into the hype, including the players. The real quality of the team will be defined by how they respond to this. Games like that one can galvanize a team, provided it doesn't wreck it.

(I just wrote this in another post. I thought it fit perfect)

This is will be the most exciting pre-game/game since 2002 playoffs.

Seriously, The 49ers haven't had their backs up against the wall like this in such a long time. Actually nobody on the squad hasn't had that feeling while being a 49er. Who Jennings???

When teams feel like they are on the 'pirate's plank', they seem to do everything right.

Like those teams that would be facing a winless season, with 4 games left at the end of the season. Or teams that have 40% of the starting roster playing in contract years, while in the playoffs trying to get to the dance(NOLA was almost like that last year).

This game will be worth taping and reviewing many times.

Just do me a favor "The Complaining Fans"...when the 1st play goes wrong, don't jump ship, and start finger pointing, and, saying "see I told you." Watch the whole game and keep cheering.

If we lose, study how we lost. If it's the total opposite of the Seahawks, where we don't beat ourselves, we knock heads off, where we create fumbles by punishing Brees, Bush and the others, we make their run defense look terrible, but we still lose AND you still complain, PLEASE, don't comeback to the WZ, veteran or not. Your not a fan. You just don't want Coach Sing as our HC.

Now, if we lose how we lost to the Hawks or worst, it's worth complaining. But then CREATE A SOLUTION AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. If you can't then jump ship.

EITHER way your useless around here. And I really don't mean the WZ, I'm talking about THIS FAN BASE!!!

I know that if I "completely" don't like what I see up to the bye week, I will recruit other fans, have them meet me down at 4949 Centennial Blvd on that Saturday morning, and we will picket for change. The sh*t will hit the media, MM will report that sh*t and, and the Yorks will be forced to do something very major.

I'll buy for the first 50 people that show up.

What's up AB? You think it's crazy over here you should see the 9ers.com board. It's probably the worst I have ever seen it since I joined in 04. One person made fake Jimmy Raye, Nate Davis, and a bunch of other coaches fake twitter accounts and is going back in forth. It's funny but at the same time they are ripping our own players/coaches. They even started tweeting to TKO and he replied back laughing at it.

EX. Jimmy Raye... I bought a bunch of coloring books from a guy named Amazon today. Nate said... seriously guys, learning the seam route to Vernon and the HB dive to gore isn't as easy as it looks. It's funny but I usually don't condone picking on our own staff/players.

Ever other post is Alex Sucks, Fire Singletary, Hire Harbaugh and Draft Luck, Alex Smith is the Rat.... anyone who tries to talk some reason into them gets attacked

thats a big reason for my hatred for the .com board.

It seems like it is a lot tougher to get a warning/banned on that site. It's funny to see all the people that come out of the wood work at times like these. People that never post any other time.

most people there are probabaly the ones banned from here...lol
Could not agree more with this post! Some one had to say it and I was getting close

But NT is terrible.

I admit i went overboard with the future looks, but now i sit back and say this is not the end of the world.

And that we are not gonna fire sing nor should we after 1 damn game.

So people chill the f*ck out, and just support the team and support the dame staff, Im sick of seeing these, Sing sucks, or Sing needs to go threads.

Or bring in Harbaugh. Who says he will be any better than Singletary. Apparently the players like Sing, why else would Vernon and Willis sign extensions.

So people shut up, s**t down, have a cold one, and if by week 6-8 we are in this situation still then I say question, but for people who were all over Sing and Alex's nutz, including me, need to calm down, cause we are far from the worst team in the league like NT portrays it to be.

end rant. lol

I agree that it is way too early for let's fire Singletary ...... but repeated mistakes , and poor decisions are open for critizism in my mind.

The coaching mistakes are embarrassing and if I were playing for a coach who made silly mistakes I would question him. However Sing has earned more respect than most coaches because of his playing carreer and the boost he has provided in making the niners relevant again in the league. I can remember a time when the niners were never talked about outside of the local media because the team was so lame. This team has leadership and talent. I also remember a time when the Saints were in the NFC West and they were the niners doormat. Here's to history repeating itself. (Drinks Beer)

I think blame goes on both the coaches and players, uiltimately yes the coaches are calling the plays but the players need to hold up there end.

I totally agree that the players have to do their part and execute and play mistake free football ...... ...... here's hoping coaches and players both put forth their best game.

it put us in our place
Very true, the Niners aren't the only team to have a disappointing opening game. The Cowboys and Chargers had similar playcalling breakdowns in the red zone. Mark Sanchez, Kelvin Kolb & Matt Ryan actually played worse than Alex Smith.

Even if the team start the season with a subpar or bad record, it has the talent, character and favorable later 2/3 schedule to turn it around and make the playoffs. Let's watch the season unfold instead of hitting the panic button after every loss.
