So with Nate being so concerned with padding his stats, how do you think he will do with all the double moves that the Saints WR's like to run. Brees is one of the best at baiting DB's and if what you say is true, it might be a long day for him.

It's going to be a long day for our whole secondary. We'll probably have to go prevent D to avoid getting burned.

We only gave up 242 yards which was 6th best in the league. The defense gave up 24 points but 10 of those points was in garbage time. I'm not too worried about our D.

We had a couple of breakdowns with the corners trying to get pick 6's that led to 14 points, and towards the end the defense gave up with the rest of team.

Bulls**t. Both the Ravens and Jets look like elite defenses. Elite defenses don't give up easy ass f**king touchdowns 3 times in one game. Our defense looked like swiss-f**king-cheese.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. The Vikings did a fairly good job at limiting Brees with back up corners. I am not up on how good your defense is but I do know that the Saints will try to run on you guys like they did in the second half of the Vikings game. I do think that it was first game jitters for us and our offense will be just fine but they need to bring the ir A game in order to beat you guys. The Seahawks game was an abberition, IMO. You guys are a lot better than what you showed Sunday.

I don't think that you'll be able to run on our D. We are good in that regard. I think Brees and that passing attack will kick our asses, however.

The question is whether we can control the clock with the running game. If we can, that will help. After last Sunday however, I have my doubts.

Funny enough, we were controlling the clock the entire first half. I have no clue why the defense folded like lawn chairs and gave up some easy f**king touchdowns, they should have been completely rested because they barely even played. Even though our offense didn't score (I feel like we should have gone for field goals instead of 4th and 1's), our defense played a pretty s**tty game themselves.

How much better than the Vikings front 7 do you think the 49ers are? We do have two of the best guards in the NFL and they were just manhandling the Williams wall. Again, I am being serous because I really do not know how you guys match up against the Vikings front 7,

I think that our front 7 is faster than Minny's, particularly at LB.

I think their run d ranked better than ours did last year. Doesn't really matter our douche bag QB will give the saints the game in the first quarter.

Alex's suckiness has infected the defense.

Is it really Alex Smith, or could it possibly be the Offensive Coordinator not putting him in the right position to win. I know I have seen this on the Saints before. A player can not succeed if the coaches keep putting them in screwed up situations. Brees is great but I know that without Payton calling the plays he would not be as great as he is.
***GIve it up to the Saints fan who has had a few good post and hasn't yet showed that Super Bowl Swagger!*** Good Stuff SaintRob!

As for the game itself...I just sold my tickets for this game because i'm so afraid of what Brees will do to us. It's going to depend however on our ball and time control. Alex isn't the long term asnwer...unfortunately but I think if he can get into a Trent Dilfer type of zone where all he does is manage the game well and doesn't screw it up our D will eventually do what it has to do. Brees is good...but after watching the fight on Rocky IV I'm motivated to say..."He's human..he's not a machine!".

As upset as I am after this last Sundays loss I have this weird feeling that our team will come out looking like we did the first few series in Seattle and how we played in the preseason. It's going to be a good one but if our corner can just step up a tiny little bit...we will win. Gore rushes for over 100 yards on that WHO DAT DEFENSE.

I am actually worried about this. We held AP to 87 yards and 0 TD's, can the Saints D hold up again? I sure hope so because I have seen the damage that Gore can do if you do not wrap him up. If Smith is as bad as some on here are saying then at least we can stack the box and hope for the best against Gore.

I know for sure our offense is, but will the defense keep up what it was doing? If the defense keeps shutting teams down like they did to the Vikes in the second half we will be pretty tough to beat. The offense does need to eliminate the drops and missed FG's though.
