Hawks 14 !?!?!?! It could happen. This is not a gimme game. Carroll will have his guys fired up and they could jump on us quickly if the D isn't careful. Not to mention playing in Seattle, which is known for their loud home crowd.

However I think the Niners will win the game. As I've said in other threads, I think Laboy and J.Smith will have big games. They'll have Hasselbeck running for his life and they'll spend alot of time in the Hawks backfield.
On offense, I think Alex will put the NFC West on notice. Alex will show that he is offically the best QB in the division now that Warner is gone.(I know, I know, that isn't saying much) 230yds and 2 TDs sounds about right. Throw in a TD or 2 by Gore with 100+ yds and this game will go down as a win.

We start off extremely fast (see the Jaguars game last year)...only to fizzle out 2nd half.

1st half - 21-0

2nd half - 3-16


Conclusion: We're still not AGGRESSIVE with play calling.

Seattle is gonna be fired up with a new coach and it being the home opener. Gotta take the crowd out early.

If that occurs, i see SF 31, SEA 17.

If the crowd is still in it early, i see SF 21, SEA 20.

Just hoping for no injuries, and that the players don't make too many silly mistakes. Some lucky bounces would help too
