Not bothered reading through everything in this thread. But anyways, Smiths had 2% higher completion percentage than Matt Ryan. So that means he is inaccurate and his receivers bail him out, and Ryan is super accurate and his probowl talented receivers (roddy white and future hall of famer tony gonzalez) drop everything? Hmmmm
Why do you pretend that we don't have talent.
Vernon Davis > Tony Gonzalez
We also have one of the best receiving backs out of the backfield and Michael Crabtree.
We do have talent, its just that Atlanta has better talent. Speaking strictly of last season and not future seasons, I would have taken Tony Gonzalaz, Roddy White, Michael Jenkins, Mularkey at OC and their oline over Vernon, rookie Crabtree, Josh Morgan, Jimmy Raye and our oline.
And to repeat again, I think Ryan is better than Smith. Just saying its weird how Clayton phrased his answer.

for leading the niner nation to umpteen SuperBowls.
