Crazy! when leinart decided not to come out, i was so mad because i was hoping the 49ers would draft him with the first pick! Now, i'm glad he didn't come out because his arm strength is weak and he is so overrated. He's a bust but after watching Carr this weekend, at least leinart throws the ball and takes a chance instead of sitting back in the pocket and waiting for it to collapse. That was so frustrating to watch Carr hang on to the ball and do nothing with it! No wonder he is one of the MOST sacked QB's in the league since he came out. Just lose Carr and let Nate be the 2nd stringer and bring in leinart as a third stringer.

You'd be as timid with the ball as Carr is when you get your ass kicked 90 times a season too.

Not that it's an excuse, I'm just saying that you cannot expect miracles from a #2 position player. Honestly if he's as bad as many of you say, then maybe Davis SHOULD be QB2 whether or not he understands the playbook. Even if Smith took every snap this season, it would help bring Davis along if he's worth bringing along at all. If not send him packing get a QB that can be groomed regardless of how Smith plays and let's move on.

Carr may surprise though, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

And I really hope the Peyton and Pray comment was sarcasm.
