Put Nate Davis on the practice squad

With MRob cut, I think Nate Davis has a better chance of making the 53. The only way I see it not happening is if the 49ers want to keep Curtis Taylor and lots of line backers.

We would have a better chance of getting A. Smith threw waivers than Davis! A. Smith has been given YEARS while Davis has shown more upside than Smith in just one year and two off seasons! No way would Davis go 1 TD with 11 int's if he started this whole year!
So if we are going to be harsh on QB's, we are targetting the wrong guy!
Nate Davis just happends to be playing like a 5th round pick at times, mean while A. Smith has played like a 5th - 7th round pick his whole career!
1st overall vs 5th rounder...?
Haters gonna hate.

But he didn't get 27, he got 18. I know you are extrapolating, but s**t happens, he could have blown up and not thrown any in a few games, or thrown a bunch of picks ruining his confidence.

Regardless, 18 in 10.5 games isn't too bad.

having only two QBs on the active roster is not a good idea. u remember a few years back when we went so far down the depth chart that chris weinke was starting?
