To make it 53, how about Philip Adams to the practice squad? I'd like to cut M. Robinson, after all he had just 12 combined tackles last year. That's replaceable. But I think the Niners will retain him.

I'd put it at 59 percent @tdwaterhouse75 zeigler's chances of making team really strong at this time? - matt barrows

i like it! why do we need TWO fb's? i know the matt's like both, just doesn't make much sense. is miller a st ace? i say cut a fb and place phillip adams on ps and take a chance on will james. if will james doesn't pan out they can always promote adams. you have to keep mrob. he is singletary guy on and off the field. but i wouldn't be disappointed if he were let go...go niners!!!

Adam Snyder had a concussion this morning. He's observing the afternoon session, so it doesn't *appear* to be a serious case like LaBoy's ..

Question: on the subject of cut-downs, it used to be that rosters were cut slowly, a few each week. Now they wait until nearly the end, cut 5 and then have a massive cut the last day. I understand leaving the scrubs until the end so the stars can take the last week off and not risk injury; but why the cut-down to 75?

Is there some potential strategic advantage to this? Do you cut someone early hoping to get them back on the practice squad, or is there some other rationale?

Hopefully some of the vets can enlighten me.
