Sounds good, but Jason Hill was a b***h when he didn't get the play though. I would rather take a enthusiathic #5 rookie WR over a disgruntled J. Hill.

Jason Hill > Morgan IMO

Wait, wait, how's Hill better than Morgan? I wanna hear this. Josh has reliable hands, goes down the middle, can go deep decently, blocks, is a bigger endzone target, does returns etc...How does Hill belong more on the field than Josh Morgan.

LOL seriously? Remember when Morgan was WIDE open down the field with no one around him, and Shaun Hill threw it right in his hands, and he drops it and says "Coach, its not my fault, it came down like a punt!"
Remember near the sideline vs. the Titans when Morgan failed to catch Alex's pass that was right in his numbers, then the ball bounces up off his hands and gets intercepted by Finnegan for a TD? And you could argue that lost us the game.

I remember Jason Hill showing great catching ability when Singletary first got the job, and last year against the Titans he made a nice catch in the endzone. He had 2 touch downs that game.

Another thing I hate about Morgan is how slow he is. Remember vs. the Falcons when he caught a pass, again near a sideline, and the CB taking him fell, and Morgan has all green in front of thim, then the SAME CB stands back up and catches Morgan! After he fell! Seriously!?
that is definitely not how that went down

Bull. Hes still the slowest starter on our offense..Including Joe Staley
IDK how you dont score on that play.

He didnt score because he slowed down like a moron. And Morgan is better than Hill. I don't understand the love for all these players that never see the field...if they were so good, they would be playing. The same goes for the bizarre man love of Delanie Walker and Michael Robinson.

Ginn as our 3rd wr? are you mad!? If anythign Ginn will best suit our 4th.

But I do think we need to rectify our Wr corps and cut Jones . I think Kyle Williams zenith will be sooner than later.

And you said Morgan can go down field decently. No.. He cant. Mike Iupati could probably beat out Josh Morgan in a straight line race. Jason Hill has amazing straight line speed (He ran a 4.32 40 yd. dash)

Hill has better hands, and better speed. Morgan could make blocks down the field. But Id rather have a real receiver than an extra blocker

Jason Hill has dropped plenty of passes, bro.
I'd have Morgan and Hill over Jones and Zeigler myself. I don't have a problem with any of these guys though. Morgan and Hill have shown plenty to be considered decent players that deserve PT. Hill in the slot is a good place for him. The thing has been this offense hasn't liked multi-receiver sets, except for the games we went with more of a spread attack. And remember, Bruce had been taking up space and PT as well.

Yeah he would've scored but he started slowing down kinda show boating and it cost him the TD. Plus Jason Hill dropped plenty of passes last year. He started playing more after the TN game(where he was good) but after that he was pretty much worthless to the team.

ok, now you are just embarrassing yourself, you got no proof of the BS that you continue to spit out, through out this thread.

first Hill did not complain all season....the only time he said something was 2 weeks before cut day in preseason, when he was worried about getting cut.

in preseason I believe he was the only receiver to not drop a pass.

heck this is the only site I can find right now that record stats on drops...

Incomplete Pass Information
Targets - 17 Drops - 0 Percent Caught-52.9 Percent First Down- 35.3

http://nationalpost.stats.com/fb/playerstats.asp?id=8330&team=25

I provided something...now you do the same....

look just because you have a personal bias towards Kyle Williams doesn't mean its koo to come on here and lie and call our WRs B*tches behind your little 15" screen.

Actually I remember a few crucial drops by Hill. I think one in the Seattle game that would've been a first down. Then he had like 2 in the Philly game, also that would've been first downs.

Z is done

Jones will have to get beat out by Ginn to get cut and we'll then have to keep one of our UDFA's. But this no cap season is the best time to cut Jones without penalty.

Keep Hill.

Jones and Zeigler suck.

Our WR depth chart should look like this in 2010

Crabtree
Morgan
Hill
Ginn Jr.
K. Williams
Hill is a bread-winner, and he was a true-clutch WR during second part of the 2008 season, but Brandon Jones can piss off (the guy is making more money than he's deserved thus far, and has been an injury bug since college -boneheaded McCloughan signing).

I looked it up, and there were incompletions......actually there were ALOT of incompletions in those two games by Alex and of our players. So I can't say if they were all Jason's fault...

I will say I remember one of those...it might be the Seahawks one, and how alot of us were saying "Jason....you wanted your chance, you need to make those catches" or to that extent added with some cussing.

but he certainly has not dropped "plenty" of passes like TC was stating.....there is a reason why he has a lot of fans on here at the Zone. Heck with the limited amount of playing time, he had 2TDs where as Starter Josh Morgan had 3TDs the whole season.

This is the 9ers and if you don't post 50 catches 750 yds and at least 5 TDs' you are taking up a slot for someone who can be that productive.

That's not my opinion, but apparently it's alot of peoples opinion and it's not very realistic.

IDK how you dont score on that play.

Cause he was foolish and started to let up a little, obviously. Now how about you spend some time getting your facts straight before you come with a weak argument.
WR Jared Perry - Missouri - (6-1, 177)
WR Scott Long - Louisville - (6-2, 216)
WR Shay Hodge - Mississippi - (6-1, 214)
WR Kyle Williams - Arizona State - (5-10, 188)
WR Tedd Ginn Jr. - Ohio State - (5-11, 180)

Incuding UDFA's and the trade for Ted Ginn Jr., the Niners are bringing in 5 WRs to compete. I thought the Niners had a log-jam last year at WR, especially given that they didn't even use a 3 WR set very often.

They certainly aren't showing much confidence in the WR's we have. With all these WR's coming in, I wonder if they are going to be using more open sets next year.
