He wasnt picked number 9 by us. we gave up i think a 5th round pick. He doesnt have the same expectations here as he did in Miami.
I don't think kick/punt returners are soft. They have one of the more dangerous jobs in football, statistically speaking.

Ginn whiff on blocks. His blocking is as inconsistent as his hands. Maybe even worse. It might be just me seeing his bad ones but missed his good.

Or maybe it's me doing the opposite lol maybe it's technique as it's probably relatively new to him. But i remember seeing him cut a guy and rewinding it to show my friend how the niners receivers block. Of course with him being a steelers fan he basically said "Ward" and that was pretty much it.

The one I remember was one of Gore's 'wham' play against the Lions. Ginn was supposed to block the DB but he didn't commit to his block, stumbled a step, ended up falling behind on the play. When he finally caught up, Gore was already being tackled. Could have been a TD for Gore had he blocked his guy. I like Teddy Ginn. Some of his catches and blocks just make me wonder sometimes.

By us, he is paid to RETURN THE BALL. Which he does incredibly well. Unlike some of his predecessors. If you remember?

Then why is he on the field as a WR? That's like saying that because Frank Gore is paid to RUN the ball, he should never be expected to catch passes.

Hey...maybe THAT is why we don't run screens???

Do I really have to explain that he is on the field because one of our starting receivers is injured and another one has been injured and is still not ready?

And the Gore comment is just silly.

Yes, the Gore comment was meant to be silly - and point out how silly your comment about a player only being played to do one particular thing. These are football players, not AL pitchers.

And do I have to remind you of the rave reviews he was getting in camp about his RECEIVING skills? And that Harbaugh said he expected him to see the field much more as a WR? And this was well before the injuries to Braylon or Morgan.

He was brought in as a return specialist. We can play with the likes of Sopoaga at receiver, but regardless of your opinion there is a high degree of specialization in the NFL. Surprised you havent noticed. And whilst Ginn was drafted as a receiver, he was brought in by the Niners as a return specialist. Thanks to injuries he has been pressed into service as a receiver. Temporarily.

Ignoring Staley and Sopoaga's trick plays, how many times can you say that one of our players has gone on the field to play out of position? So the AL pitchers comment fails.

Again, Harbaugh (the head coach, if you recall?) said that he planned to use him much more as a WR this season - and that was BEFORE the injuries to Morgan or Edwards. So your "pressed into service as a receiver" argument fails.

Love Ginn on ST and overall but just not on offense. The man tries and we've had injuries but he just doesn't look comfortable as a WR.
IMO

We are underutilizing him. He needs more practice reps. More reps and you'll see more 80 yard pre-Chop block Gore -penalty burns

and someone said something about ''soft?''

Shows how little he has been used as a WR, injuries or not

And bearing in mind the NFL accepts the specialism, if one fan chooses not to, that would be up to him.

I know that...bu I'm saying he'll always be seen a guy who was drafted to be a number 1 type receiver. I don't think Miami took him that high and envisioned he'd be a guy to only return kicks and play sparingly on offense
