What is this bullcrap? Right before the draft? Unbelievable. Even if he stays, it now makes me wonder what is going on with upper management. How we suppose to build a team that works together if they cant do it upstairs? Just another case of how this org is being run since Eddie left. Nobody wants to stay here.

He actually has credibility in the league and if he calls with a trade idea, the other team has to take him seriously. With Scotty, they laugh and say "go ask your mommy"
Just saying
This goes with the passiveness of our team owners. If they had a feeling that McCloughan should be gone, Holmgren was f**kING AVAILABLE along with other tangible candidates. Why pull this right before the draft without a replacement.
This is dangerous when you have 2 first round picks with about a month to go before the actual draft.

If the rumors are true that McCloughan is pushed out... Look for Jed to promote #87 Dwight Clark to fill the void. Man, bad timing with a month heading into the '10 NFL Draft.

I think that would be horrible and worse
but if McCloughan's scouts leave along with him, then Singletary is the only one who's been doing any scouting this offseason. Any new GM would be way behind and would only have a month to prepare for the draft.
There is Trent Baalke who's director of player personnel. But who knows who gets along with Singletary.

You're worrying for nothing. All Sing has to do is look into their eyes and he'll know who to pick. Relax..

I couldn't be happier...maybe....The Niners are at an inflection point in their talent level and development. Get the right FA pieces, and a good top draft and we headed to the playoffs.
But Scotty wouldn't draft for need. Only for that Holy best player available. Well, I am sorry, but when your org is at an inflection piont you have to play it right. And for the last two offseasons, including this one, Scot has not given Singletary what he needs. I thought last year that Scotty was trying to do Sing in...because he gave the team nothing in FA when we desperately needed a rusher and a better OL. Not a single FA that contributed squat.

Oh no, I love Dwight Clark, but he has a disappointing draft history with us and the Browns.
