It was hard to tell but Smith's entire body must be past the line, and it wasn't.

Sing didn't seem impressed
t was Davis' 12th touchdown catch of the season. Only one tight end in NFL history (Antonio Gates, 2004) has caught more touchdown passes in a season. Singletary was a big perplexed about why Smith opted to pass up and easy touchdown.

Quote:
"I need to get both of them in a room and lock the door and find out if Vernon had to talked to him (Smith) and told him he needed another touchdown or something like that," Singletary said. "Because Alex came to the sideline and I was scratching my head and he knew what I was going to say and he just said, 'Coach, be nice. Be nice.' Next time, just dive in or something. Just run."
When asked if it's something he likes to see from his quarterback, Singletary answered, "It all depends on what the answer is. I want to know what the heck was he thinking because if you got it, take it."

Both 85's are tied with 13 TD's. The two best tight ends in the league. Sounds perfect to me.

Vernon Davis now HAS the record for TDs by a TE in one season with 13. hes just tied with Gates. whether he caught a 14th or not, hed still have the record.

A record is only a record if you do it first.

Everybody knows that this was a big game for Davis in that he could have broken the standing TE TD record. He made a phenominal play for 73 yards to tie the record. After that, there where at least 2 chances to at least give him the ball for a TD, but instead they gave it to Gore.
Do you think that was disrespectful?
