Bottom line with only 50 seconds on our own ten with the score tyied I am yelling at the tv to run the damn ball and take into ot. The coaching staff lost this game. Seattle could have only stopped the clock twice and would have recieved the punt with about ten seconds. Come on
Yes, the real lesson of this game is what we have known for months now...we have no run blocking.
very good point. the coaching staff as usual put us in a position to lose.
however, my only counter point to this is....they are showing confidence in alex and giving him a chance to shine and be a winner. that is why they called 3 passing plays. they said hey alex you took us this far, now finish it for us. imho.
They really couldn't do anything else without some run blocking. We really needed to be able to run the ball a little on that last possession. Absolutely, 100% needed to be able to do that. We havn't been able to do it all season long, so they chose to put it on Alex. They really didn't put us in a position to lose....sure they f**ked up and it cost us 7 non that f**ked up ST trick play. It was the recieving core not making the catches, and Gore fumbling that put us in the position to lose more than anything. They have to learn to know the situation, they have to know you have to make those plays, you have to protect the ball, you have to know it's on you to make something happen when given the chance. Catch the TD, don't fumble etc.
