Vd dropped 2 TDs today, one in the 4th qrt with the game on the line.

Frank Gore fumbles when we were in at least FG range.

Delanie Walker dropped a TD.

Smith getting burned on the final play! WTF was he even doing in the game?

Crabtree giving up on a TD.

What a pathetic showing and overall horrible team play.

I agree with you but i would put Willis' name with Alex,he played great! VD and Delanie deprived us of 2 more TD passes,Vernon still has stone hands at the worst time.....

Yes, Willis also played great. Too bad he was surrounded by mediocrity today.

ALex did nothing wrong, I was thinking on our last drive he would throw his weekly INT.

He has 13 TDs and 7 INTs. He should have 15 TDs after the drops by Davis and Walker. Bashing on Smith is getting very old. He's turning into a very nice QB and we should be very grateful for that. Too many mistakes! Really poor officiating also, but we shot ourselves in the foot again. OL/DB/Pass Rush/Returner. Then we've got a shot at winning the NFC.

I still worry sometimes with Alex, even though I'm loving his play. Sometimes when I see a sack coming, I see a fumble happening. And in crunch time I envision a interception. But I've always been an avid Smith supporter though not well known around these parts. Still, Alex has been known to do these things, but not lately. He's looking legit, pay cut and all.

There was a sack that happened and I thought for sure he was going to fumble, but he didnt. I was happy about that. The arguments against this guy are just getting worse and worse. This team has a lot of other things to worry about before they worry about QB.

Jesus F*CKING CHRIST! 9 Drops!!! 4 of which were TD Drops!!! Did you even watch the game!?!? How do you even function in your daily life? How can you even go to your job when you can barely even form any internal thoughts based on logic and reasoning.

Tone down the roid rage buddy...drops are part of the game...he had 60 min to score points for this team and only managed 14. We lost. All he needed was a single scoring drive more and he would have been the hero...but now our season is over and he's the goat. Get over yourself.

YOU ARE AN IDIOT! You say he needed a scoring drive? well i guess he needs to throw it and then go catch it in the endzone too....

Props to Alex Smith today, he had a very solid game and pretty much did all he could to help us TRY and win. You people wanna blame VD and Delanie for their drops, and yes, they should get some of the blame. But the pass defense gets the overall blame IMO. Sure Hasselbeck didn't have too many passing yards today, but our defense let him make key throws to move the chains and once again played a little soft.....man I miss Nate Clements.

BTW, that lame ass reverse on that punt return really piss me off. Its bad enough we have had a hard time catching punts, now we go and do something stupid like that....C'mon man!!!
IMO this is a team loss. Good teams have different players pick up the slack when things aren't going right. This loss goes a long way in showing that we are more than two players away from competing with the big boys. Remember this was the Seahawks, not the Saints.
If you saw the Colts and Saints today, they had many different players step up when they needed someone to make a play to turn the tide. We didn't. We need playmakers, above average players, in several areas.
Maybe simply aren't good or talented enough to win these kind of big games. If you need to blame someone, you might want to look at the guy who picks the players.

Delanie's drop is excusable. Their was clearly PI on the play which threw him off, and it was a ball that hung up in the air and unexpectly dropped in his hands.

I don't expect a TE to come up with that play every time.

thank you. people on here are starting to get really annoying. when u hit a receiver in the hands or in his number he should catch the damn ball. VD had like 4 drops today, 2 that woulda been TD's, Walker dropped a TD but atleast he was interfered with so it wasnt as ugly a drop as davis', morgan dropped a 1st down pass that hit him in the numbers, crabtree ducked a TD pass, gore fumbled in FG range so i guess that was alex's fault too, and alex also made the tackle to prevent a TD on gore's fumble, alex shoulda been out there returning kicks too cuz its his fault battle and jones are retarded, alex shoulda been playing DB when that rookie burned us at the end, alex shoulda been the extra player on defense that was missing so we didnt have to call a timeout... your excuses are stupid. any of you who blame alex for this loss are blind and very stupid haters. i heard the raiders won this week, go buy a jersey, some spikes and some face paint.

The ball hit him right in the hands. A TE should catch that everytime.

I've probably been a fan longer than you have...and I still remember what it was like to have a QB put a team on his back and win. I'm tiered of this acceptance of mediocrity at the QB position simply because he's a good guy and a possible Fantasy QB, and that's pushing it. The guy is too soft, too quiet and has gotten too many chances...he's not a winner...

The illusion of what A.Smith "could be" is just that...an illusion...he's been here 5 years...time to move on.
