So who are the coordinators going to be?

Harbaugh gonna call plays himself? Bring his DC from Stanford? Keep Manunsky?

If you look at it, this team had a very talented coaching staff. The problem was that the Head Coach didnt let anyone do their own s**t.

This is one area that I think we highly over rated because of the ineptness of our last two head coaches.

A true head coach understands everything and devises a game plan, discusses that plan with his assistants letting them know what needs to be worked on with the players that week and the assistants make sure the players are prepared.

Our last two head coaches couldn't even come in with a proper game plan including possible adjustments. Nolan ended up taking over defensive plays and Singletary couldn't do s**t.

The assistants only relay to the players what the Head Coach has devised for them. Look at NE, it doesn't matter who their OC, DC or assistants are. Bill is the one who creates the plan.

I don't care who we retain. Harbaugh will be the one telling them what to do and I'm sure they will carry out the details he gives them. Our last two coaches haven't provided details to the assistants.

I think this is a very likely scenario. Though I don't know if I'm sold on Fangio....dude presided over some pretty terrible defenses last time he coached in the pros (02-05 Texans).

Jcool you think Harbaugh is going to bring his entire staff with him? outside of his HC replacement, unless stanford hires someone outside?

FWIW, Ratto was on CSN saying Stanford will probably try to retain one of the coordinators as HC. He named Shaw as probably the guy they will try to keep.
