Alex Smith, 6th Best QB in the NFL (That's Right!)

the guy has played 6 quarters. Not to much to judge him on. Lets see where he stands at the end of the season.
Looks like he's 27 out of 46 now...Link

Wow! This has got to be the stupidest thread I have seen in a long time!! #6 best QB based on a BS statistical analysis that has so many loops, holes, and assumptions its damn near silly???

Is everyone reading his argument for why he is the "6th Best QB in the NFL"?? and actually making sense of it?? WOW!

How about we sit back and let the damn kid play AT LEAST THE REST OF THE YEAR before even ranking him?? Get off his nutz, let him prove that he will stay consistent and then we will re-visit this!

AND NO I'M NOT AN A.SMITH HATER! I just think its stupid how people jump loops after 2 good games over any player for that matter.... and to go as far as comparing him with Rothlesburger? Manning? Brady? BREEESSS???? OMFG!

.....there....I'm done venting!

you must be a smith hater!!!!

Hey buddy, not cause smith sucks n we're not in the playoffs that means that we're haters. Its the truth, he's a bust, even the MNF commentators mentioned he was a short term qb (meaning he sucks).
the maniacs that came up with this stat, also say that brandon jones is the best punt return player of the decade...

What about last year when Shaun Hill stepped into an offense the OC actually catered it to his strengths. I have to say, Hill performed well considered Raye didn't do crap to help him out as he did with Smith.
I was looking at that list trying to figure out what this post was about.

Then I realized its like two months old.

I still like Alex though.

Raye did something to help Smith?? I wasn't aware that Raye attempted to teach the OLine to block. Ohhh wait you must mean that they put the games in Smith's hands. I wouldn't exactly calling that helping Smith. I would call that the Raye extreme. Either the playcalling is run run run punt or pass pass pass punt. No inbetween, no middle ground just extrememes on play calling with no creativity what so ever.

Yeah, Raye didn't do anything with the offense...cough...spread.
