If you haven't heard it yet, Singletary addresses a lot of people's complaints about the offense in it. I don't have time to summarize what he says, but it is worth a listen.

Sing keeps saying he's going to open it up if it fits A. Smith's strength. I don't know much about football but as far as I can see.....Passing seems to fit Smith's strength a lot better than handing off being 20 yards away from first down.

Same coach, different suit.
"How do you win a game?"
"You finish. The whole 60 minutes. The Small Things"
Why not run more spread/2-minute?:
"Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah, deviate from where we're at, blah blah blah"
I have the utmost respect for Mike as a man; less and less as a coach.

Him and Ray are cowards , when Alex threw that INT ( it's not his fault ,little high but was tipped ) they went back to the run and no more passes out off the 3 WR ! Alex can handel it give him and the O a chance ! some qb go into a funck and throw three and four but Alex looks like he changed and it was not a stupied Int it was tipped ! need to belive in our O and not relay on the D so much will let you down after being on the field for so long !

I disagree. Alex never should have thrown that ball. Receiver was clearly covered.
Then again? I can handle one mistake per game. He made his one. He didn't make it again.
Alex did not lose this game for us. I would probably pin this one on the coaching staff and the vanilla offense we've been forced to run.
What's really going to pi$$ all of us off is if the Niners lose another three straight to fall out of the playoff picture -- the offense finally changes -- and we win the rest of our remaining games.

I am not convinced. Raye consistently puts his offense in 3rd and long situations and this has been an issue going all the way back to the preseason. No more excuses. Put together a full game, call a decent game for god sakes, and show me don't tell me. Niner fans can't take much more of this flimsy offensive play-calling.

Yup. As soon as that pic got thrown our offense went back into its shell. I'm really frustrated with our offenseive coaching philosophy.
We can move the ball but simply choose not to do it for no good reason and it's costing us wins for no reason.
We could actually get into the playoffs with relative ease imo if we just played to win. But we can't seem to find a coaching staff that way. Instead as soon as we get a lead we pray that it'll last the whole game and it never does.

He got mad because because the host did not tell all the callers who have been asking Singletary to open up the offense that we pass more than we run.
"You knew that huh, and didn't tell the callers that"?
He said he that if people think we're conservative then he needs to go back and check what conservative means.

Whether it has been Hill or Smith, what has remained constant is third and long and Jimmy Raye.
