This helps out but the bottom line is to get into the playoffs period.If the 49ers were to win the division then great but if not just get in!It's been awhile(6yrs)
49ers won't get into the playoffs unless they win the division
word
Yeah the Wild Card team will probably have a better record than the division winner in the NFC West.
We will win the division.

We are still in the division race. For us to challenge for the division, at minimum we have to win our remaining division games and at least three, maybe four, out of division games. It's definitely possible, but we have our work cut out for us. Two of our remaining division games are on the road, and we have some tough out of division opponents coming up.

I'm betting that the NFC West will be decided by the Monday Night game when AZ comes to SF.
National recognition, playoff implications.

Good job Carolina! John fox must be a niner fan cuz they lose games than win the ones we need them to. Thanks for giving Arizona a loss now you can get back to stinking it up and getting us a top pick next year!

Before we can worry about anything else, lets just beat the Titans. Forget about the playoffs, forget about what the Cardinals are doing, and forget about what we need in the draft. We are on a 3 game losing streak. We need to beat the Titans, enough said.

3-4 with good teams coming up, and Raye as OC with MS calling hide & seek if he gets up 4 points..
I don't see it, although the D played their hearts out..
This team is good enough but the coaches won't allow them to be all they can..
Sucks pretty much...

49ERS
Record: 3-4
Division Record: 3-0
Remaining Schedule:
Titans
Bears
@Packers
Jaguars
@Seahawks
Cardinals
@Eagles
Lions
@Rams
CARDINALS
Record: 4-3
Division Record: 1-1
Remaining Schedule:
@Bears
Seahawks
@Rams
@Titans
Vikings
@49ers
@Lions
Rams
Packers
The overview:
49ers
4 opponents with winning records remaining, 2 of which are home games
3 Division games remaining, 1 of which is a home game (Cardinals)
1-4 against teams with current winning records
Cardinals
3 opponents with winning records remaining, 2 of which are home games
4 Division games remaining, 2 of which are home games
2-1 against teams with current winning records
The Cardinals seemingly have as easier remaining schedule than the 49ers. If the 49ers are going to win the division, they have to eventually beat a team they "aren't supposed to beat". If not, the Cardinals must completely self destruct down the stretch in order for us to have a chance.

Seems like the Cards have started "self destructing" already.

I sure hope so. It's been a long time since we had a playoff game in the Bay.
