Don't rely too much on Gore

Our running game in serious trouble...

1. Gore is injured and his injuries may linger throughout the season. Take away those two long runs in Seattle, and we have just over 2 yards/carry.

2. Glen Coffee is ineffective. nothing there yet, and don't know if he ever will be

3. Kory sheets is plucked by the Dolphins

4. Michael Robinson cannot run.

5. The O-line is a shambles - can't even create a hole for a squirrel

6. You can't fix the O-line in two weeks when you have inept assistant coaches.

Don't believe everything will be fine when Gore returns ...

Let's switch Soap and Aubrayo as our new guards with Rachal our starting NT with Baas backing him up.

Our passing game needs to open up seriously. The longer it takes Raye and Singletary to come to this conclusion the more games we'll surrender.

If our offense could score 21 pts consistently we'd be deep in the playoffs.

Gore has attitude. He's not going to stop running at the 10yd line. He's not going to showboat.

The question will always be, does his body support his will to win? How many of us, frankly, would play flat-out on every play, but simply don't have the body to play NFL football?

At any rate, running backs get injured. And he'll probably be injured again. And then he'll play again.

It's sort of defined his career with the Niners imo. He's great when out there. We're just lucky that its only a few games a year. God knows where we'd be without him were he to go down for an extended period of time. As to the point of not relying on him, he's our best player even when hurt, who else on offense are we supposed to rely on? It's not like our o coordinator really finds the best ways to get others going.
How do you know Gore is still injured? Do you have some kind of inside information? I heard on KNBR they said he was doing conditioning drills at Candlestick on Sunday. Sounds like he is on track to be back in two weeks. This team is obviously nothing without Gore. We can't be any playoff team w/o him.
