Another 3-2 start....

1994 The Niners defeated the Raiders, Rams, and Saints, 3 easy teams, lost the KC, before being embarassed by the Eagles @ home 40-8. We came back and won 10 straight after that. So you can throw the towel in if you want, but we've been hear before, we'll get past it, we'll get better from it.

PS We outscored ATL 92-17 that year lol.
We have Steve Young and Jerry Rice all of a sudden?

Oh wait, we have Shaun Hill and Josh Morgan.
Listen here fellow---you're like the 100th zoner who has brought up this past example. And it's been brought up thousands of times during this decade...

WE ARE NOT THE 1994 SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

WE ARE NOT EVEN 1/100TH OF THE TALENT OF THAT TEAM.

THERE'S NO COMPARISON.
I remember that team. Steve Young, Jerry Rice, John Taylor, Brent Jones, Ricky Watters, William Floyd, Eric Davis, Ken Norton Jr, .......
I was at that 9er/eagle game in '94.

Wow, so much negativity. The man isn't saying that we are the reincarnation of the 1994 superbowl team, he's just trying to inject some optimism for the fans here that have already thrown in the towel.

It's just a bad reference/example.

good post man, while we're not the 94 niners we are still the best team in the nfc west and will win plenty of games this year. This example shows that even good teams sometimes great teams get blown out sometimes.

And we started 2-0 in 2007. How did that end up? Let's just stick to the present.

YUP. If we had a QB who could go out and win games not just manage games it would be a different story. We are a team with the hopes of winning the west. We could be the first team in NFL history to sweep its division and not make the playoffs. We could also be a team that goes 9-7 this year. We need to sweep the west, win against Houston, Tennessee and Detroit. If we do that we make the playoffs.

well at least some people got it.

good luck to the rest of you
We are not even in the same BALLPARK as the 94 Niners. We suck at too many positions and the fact that we have NO ability to run the ball only makes things worse. Our Oline is our biggest weakness. Well, our back-up RB is not that good. Our QB can't throw the ball with a spiral at all, and our OC runs when he should pass and passes when we should run. Hey, when your #1 tailback is out and your averaging 1.8 YPC you would think that completing a few passes may loosen up the defense and open up the game a little. In the good old days we would pass to open up the run game, now we just run, run, run even when we only get 2 YPC... STUPID if you ask me.
