So ive been reading a good amount of blogs from Sando and from what i read he doesnt seem to be sold on us. In fact he still thinks the cards are going to win the division. Now im not saying that the niners are def goin to win the division(although i would like to i just dont want to jinx us) but it seems to me that sando does not like the niners that much. If you look at how him and clayton vote on the power rankings you can see that he still doesnt give us much respect. To tell ya the truth im fine with how sando and all other sports analysts think the 9ers are not that great of a team, because that just means we can fly under the radar and when we do ultimately make it to the playoffs(hopefully) then every1 will be talkin about us. But its just annoying to see a guy on espn writing about us that is clearly not a 9er supporter.

More than likely he was assigned to the NFC West by ESPN. He still praises the Cards, and I say let him. But I didn notice that too. Whenever it's something that's exclusively about the 49ers, he has nothing but praise for us, but when he writes articles about the whole division (and conference), and when he does his voting, he gives us no love. It's ok, he looks like a douche anyway

Maybe...just maybe he might not be supporting anyone at all?

I like Sando's stuff for the most part. FYI, both Clayton and Sando have Seattle roots.

actually im pretty sure he started out in seattle before espn, so im pretty sure if anything he likes the seahawks but right now cant really write anything good about them so he jumped ship to the cards

he covered the seahawks. he was never a fan of thiers. In fact hes an old Raider fan if youve read his posts. yeh i know...a raider fan. not anymore though. Just like how Barrows used to follow the Skins. or Kawakami constantly has been talkin down about the niners management. Doesnt mean theyve got it out for them...maybe just maybe theyre seeing it third party? i mean not everyone has to be a Berman.

My hope is that the whole NFC West improves. The tougher the NFC West, the better the competition, the farther teams from it go in the playoffs.
I like the fact that the AZ Cardinals are on an upswing. I'd like to see the Seahawks improve and get healthy. I'd like to see Spagnola turn the Rams around. I'd like to see the 49ers dominate a tougher NFC West for years to come.
Let the NFC South or some other NFC division turn out to be cupcakes. It'll only make the 49ers stronger.

If we beat the Falcons this week I like our chances to win the division. Even if we lose I still think we have a good shot but with a win against the Falcons, it sets up very nicely after the bye and gives us a little more room for error.

If you dont know who Mike Sando is then your just a causal fan which is not a bad thing Im just saying... He is the NFC West blogger for ESPN and writes multiple blog entries a week about the 49ers and other nfc west teams. For others who are on facebook I strongly suggest you friend him he posts many interesting entries on the west and the niners. I would say its not that he is not on the niners bandwagon he just does not really think the NFC West is very good. But per his blog I learned that we have the #2 ranked fox announcing crew sunday with the goose and dick stockton so we are getting some respect. P.S. I believe the top crew with Joe Buck is doing playoff baseball.

Mike Sando is a statistics guy and statistically, the 49ers haven't been good at all on offense.
Total Yards Per Game: 28th (264.0)
Passing Yards Per Game: 28th (156.2)
Rushing Yards Per Game: 15th (107.8)
Third Down Percentage: 27th (28%)
Turnovers: 4th (+5)
I've put in bold the main reason why we've had success thus far.
Until the offense can complete more third down attempts and improve the passing and rushing games, I don't think the 49ers will be considered a contender by anyone who's watched closely enough.

A highly regarded ESPN analyst who talks about football for a living. If we're not taking his point of view seriously, I can't imagine what you'd want us to do with your opinion.

Im with rathman its true. Crabtree should help out our offense in time for the second go arounds against the seahaws and cards. Look for us to take advantage of the falcons cbs this week also on third downs.
