I think Jimmy knows what to do with him. I can picture the Niners in the redzone. Morgan in the slot on the weakside with Bruce and Crabtree lined up strong side with Vernon, daring the defense to try to double someone or blitz, then...
...we hand off to Gore or Coffee for 4 yards...
Yep I can just picture it now...j/k
....Or how about, Frank Gore runs for 72 yards ....Or a pass to Crabtree for 72 or a pass to Vernon top right middle for 72...
Yep I can see the picture now too....
and everybody in the zone will talk about how they love Crabtree and Raye. And how great Shaun Hill is....those same people who were like this ----> are now like this ----> acting like they knew it from the very first day we announced that Raye was going to be the offensive coordinator. They will be making crazy predictions that Crabtree will be the greatest receiver of all time, even surpassing Jerry Rices Records. I've been in the zone since 2004 so believe me, I know(On this and another profile). There were plenty of times that I felt like this ----> .....reading some of the stuff that so called fans posted on here. Me for my part have always been optimistic, even when Nolan was coaching. Nolan rebuilt the complete team from scratch. He was handed a team that was the worst in the league. He deserves more credit that alot of fans give him. He had some great qualities. He just did not know how to manage a game and control it...how to motivate the team. And alot of times, thats what it all boils down to. But give him credit.... he brought all these coaches and assistants we have today with him...or he added them along the way. He did have a plan and was on the right path...but that plan was disrupted by Norv Turner. Had Norv Turner not left San Francisco, people would be talking way different about Nolan. Singletary is just completing what Nolan starting in his own Singletarish way.
I am optimistic for our teams future with Singletary running things on the field. I think that the coaching staff as a whole is working their tails off. Guys like Tomsula, Jerry Sullivan, LB coach Singletary, Tom Rathman, the DB's coaches the conditioning staff and whoever else on the coaching staff, from the Head Coach to the Assistants are making names for themselves around the league. After 4 games we have a Top 10 defense! How about that!! Singletary's Team First Mentality has our team going. He makes every player on that football team feel important in their role...not just one player. No one player will carry this team. I know for suuurrre that a Michael Crabtree is not gonna come out of hiding and carry this team ......its going to be the team as a whole(from the coaches to the players) carrying themselves...TOGETHER...AS ONE!!!
if anyone of them can do that, they would be god, and we would all have to bow down to them.
side note, i did not read a single thing past his first sentence.
Well exactly that might be your problem. Not reading something but commenting on it.
I read it. A lot of it was you trying to credit Nolan more than he's worth.
Did you forget that Scot McCloughan helped Nolan build this team? How convenient. If I'm not mistaken, I believe McCloughan is the one that lobbied for Patrick Willis because Nolan wanted somebody else. The point is, Nolan made the final decisions, but McCloughan was the man he consulted the entire time so you can't just sit there and say Nolan built this team by himself.
And another thing.. We are not the most talented team in the league. A lot of our guys seem to be playing better than they truly are. A good coach can make that happen. So it's not like Nolan assembled a championship-caliber roster. Coach Singletary is the man making these things happen. This is basically the same team that went 2-5 under Mike Nolan last season.
