I don't get this guy.
"the defense dictates what we do"
so, if the defense stacks 15 men in the box, we're gonna throw right? wrong.

My problem with what he said today is if Hill is completing about 70% of his throws then why not have the confidence to let him throw more? Sometimes the pass sets up the run it won't always be the run setting up the pass.
The fact that we run the ball more than 50% of the time on second down is amazing. Check the stats-

There it is... You've found the 60/40 ratio J-Raye is always talking about
Did you see how many yards we average on second down? Leading to the amount of yards to go on third down?

I bet Coffee goes over 100 yards rushing, another 40 receiving and a TD or two.
hope so
starting him in 2 FF leagues lol
damn, u must have some bad RB's. Or Gore. I have Peterson and C.Johnson, so they're getting playtime every week.
If you have Peterson and Chris Johnson then something is wrong with your league.

Yeah, its pretty sad. I hope it cause we've played against a couple of tough run Ds; but, I'm not even sold on that theory...

Well I can respect not changing your philosphy but I'm not so sure that we have the type of O-line that is going to mauling and running through defenses. You can continue to run but when it doesn't get you more than 1-2 yards then maybe we should rethink the call.

Exactly. A good OC would adjust the play calling to the team he has.

We continue to look at 3rd and 6 or more because we can't get more than 4 yards on first or second. We have to get most of our yards on first down!

What I don't get is why they wont let Shaun audible out of these run plays when he clearly has man coverage on Bruce or Morgan. I would think that a couple of short completions to the outside would require additional Safety support. Then go back to the run with better odds of success...

Singletary needs to start allowing Hill to audible. Something tells me he can read a D better than Raye can. The Vikings were stacking 8 in the box, run blitzing us, I'm sure Hill recognized it more than a few times.

"the perception you've got to throw it because they're eight people in the box would be, in my opinion, would be disingenuous to the philosophy we have and the way we play."
Give us a f**king break, man. If they stack the box, just throw the ball like your supposed too. Or just keep getting stopped for 2 yard losses on first down.
Why can't we just have a normal offensive coordinator? God damn I wish we could have gotten Linehan.
