Peter King has us #9 in his rankings he does. He said the loss to the Vikes doesn't drop us in his mind or something like that.

I think people see that the Vikes pulled that win out of there a$$ and they are starting to respect the Niners. I can't remember the last time people actually respected us.

That's the point I was making. I am hearing respect for us from people who haven't given us props for at least the past 6 or 7 years. I kind of like the fact that we are earning it, even in a close loss.

In every highlight show I saw, after showing the "Favre miracle" the analysts actually said things like, don't forget about the performance the 49ers put on.

Hey you get kudos from ESPN, Deion, Chris Collingsworth (or whatever his name is), and actually from Favre himself and that's respect we haven't seen in a long time.

I agree, there really is no shame in it. I'm not sure if losing Gore is going to hurt us yet. Coffee, could turn out big too.
