3rd and 22, SF 11 - pass to morgan for 1 yard. 0/1 3rd and 1, SF 31 - pass to Bruce, bad pass or dropped ball don't remember. 0/2 3rd and 1, SF 23 - Run by Coffee for -1 yard, 0/3 3rd and 5, SF 13 - Pass to Coffee incomplete. 0/4 3rd and 12, Min 47 - Pass to VD for 11 yards. 0/5 (went for it on 4th and 1 and ended up scoring on the drive). 3rd and 9, SF 44 - Incomplete pass to Bruce. 0/6 3rd and 2, SF 24 - Glen Coffee up the middle for no yards. 0/7 3rd and 8, Min 23 - Short pass to VD for 4 yards. 0/8 3rd and 15, SF 32 - Pass to Robinson for 8 yards. 0/9 3rd and 17, SF 20 - Short pass to VD for 8 yards. 0/10 3rd and 6, MIN 49 - Coffee for 2 yards. 0/11 6 Passes and 5 runs. Our offense as a whole was abysmal on 3rd down and it cost us the game.

And what's most telling is that on all of these 3rd downs, it was VERY obvious what play we were going to run: Pass or Run. If I can see it well before the snap, imagine how easy it was for their defensive calls to adjust.

Yep. We should once in a while use a spread formation and runa draw. Or use a goaline and run a play-action.
