Willis vs Curry

Rams fans offered me the same deal. But I have been going to hawks games since I was 2. My grandparents used to always take me and I spent a whole lot of time at the kingdome growing up. I was hooked way back then. Can't change that now. Its in my blood. I started taking my kids to watch games when they were two also. Their first game was falcons vs hawks and we ended up beating them. Now I try to get my kids to the stadium at least once a year. They love getting their faces painted and being allowed to yell as loud as they want. Thanks for the offer, but it simply can't be done.

lol I respect that....good to have you in the webzone!
Thanks guys. I'm sure I will be dropping by from time to time and check in on 49er world. Gotta keep tabs on the other teams. Keep myself better prepared for the games.
I think a more fair comparison is to evaluate them at the same stages in their careers, and aside from my obvious bias, i'd have to say Willis was more NFL ready right out of the box. How Curry develops over the season will tell a lot about the future player, but I have a feeling he's going to be a real good, if not great one. I know quite a few "Zoners would have been thrilled to get him.

I gave the politically correct response by saying that it was too soon to tell because curry had only played one game and willis has been around for a couple years now. But I just want to say that without a shadow of a doubt, on sunday, willis was the better linebacker. He made plays and curry made mistakes. Props to your guy. He will definately be one of the best linebackers in the game for years to come. Look forward to seeing your team at qwest field.

That was me who threw you that credibility test question of Willis vs Curry. It's VERY VERY difficult to reach the level of play that Willis is at. LB's who play at that level come around once in a decade, maybe. Curry may turn out to be great, but he is (so far) nowhere near what Willis is, or has been, including his rookie year. That's not to knock on Curry at all...it simply says that it is a very very rare thing to have an LB of the level that Willis is at. It simply say's they don't grow on tree's.
Curry looks like a rook, nothing bad about that, and he definitely has the potential to develop into a menace. He needs to play smarter, and somehow do that without losing his intensity/enthusiasm. He is finding out that the NFL is a completely different level, a completely different galaxy, one where even slow ass Fullbacks/TE's can outwit even the best, savviest veteran OLB's on any given Sunday, and do it exceptionally....quickly.

A lot of people think Willis is simply a tackling machine. He is that, and also... if you watch him, what you see is ALOT of big plays (big play, not "highlight play'') consistently...A lot of stops short of the first down...a stop that doesn't let someone get out of bounds etc. Critical plays. He makes those plays EVERY GAME, consistently, and he does it with violence.

Your boy is going to be good, no doubt...but for your teams sake, he needs to calm his ass down and play smarter, which I am sure will come, maybe even very soon.

Great picture of gore.... I was jumping up and down during those two runs. And that's cool of a hawks fan to give willis props.
