Barry Sims is only 1 injury away from starting

That means Shaun Hill is one injury away from getting killed.

eh, I'm not crazy about Sims but he played well after Singletary changed the offense last year and played acceptably well in the 3 PS games so far. It is not a panic situation.

pretty sure every fan of any professional team doesn't want an injury to a starter......

Jaguars drafted Eben Britton *sigh* and Jason LaCanfora thinks Tony
Pashos may be among their final cuts. He's 6'6, 326, 29 years old, and
started 47 games over the past three years at either guard or tackle.
LaCanfora suggests that Seattle may scoop him up. Anybody want him in a 49er uniform?

Sims plays well against linebacker sized players.

Sims is small and quick, and is even pretty good with positioning.

His problem is that he gets bull rushed into the pocket by non-linebacker sized players. Every time.

Its not that he allows people to "kill the quarterback," rather, its that he forces the quarterback to shuffle away from his side, often causing him to run into pressure from somewhere else.

The quarterback runs somewhere else, causing another lineman to get the sack statistic put in his name unfairly.

For example, Sims gets bull rushed, Hill starts to roll out of the pocket into Staley's man, if Staley's man tackles him, the statistics say Staley gave up the sack, where in reality Sims did.

That is one of many reasons statistics for lineman are nearly useless.

I believe Jon Runyan may be the best out of this group. Jennings would be good if healthy but that is a big if.
Anyone of them would be better than Simms! IMO
