It's the scheme and WR and QB coaching -- we're not running a WCO where the receivers run short routes, the qb anticipates the receiver and hits him in stride, and we get big YAK. Instead, it seems like a "sit down" offense where the receivers sit down in (hopefully) a break in coverage, and Alex gets them the ball when they turn around and face the QB. However, too often Alex doesn't throw the ball until the receiver makes his break, so the db has time to close. Alex also always has and continues to look down his receivers, giving the dbs a big clue where to go.
