Morgan's starter status isn't firm

MM just posted that Arnaze Battle may take the starting spot opposite Bruce away from presumed started Josh Morgan. 2 things I get from this:

I love Battle! Although it looked like he may not even make the 53 man roster with Crabtree being drafted, Jones being signed, Bruce coming back, J.Hill/D.Zeigler playing well late last year here he is in contention for a starting gig with Crabtree holding out, Jones hurt Morgan sucking J.Hill being non-existent.

I would hate for Morgan to lose the spot...Bruce/Battle combo is not scary at all and neither one can beat you downfield anymore. We need Morgan to step it up big time since Crabtree won't do much this year when/if he signs a contract.

Getting Morgan motivated a bit can't hurt.

I don't think Morgan is going to be unseated.

One reason is because well Battle just re-injured himself and there hasn't been much of an aerial attack to be able to confidently say that Battle has bettered Morgan.

I won't be surprised if Morgan gets pulled sometime during the season if he continues to disappoint.

thats different though because this is legit news from mb, thats an opinion.

i think josh morgan will get back into form and break out. we need his speed and big play ability. he is a young guy and hes going to take his lumps more than the vets are. but there were some times he and bruce were open. hill just didnt get them the ball.

Battle and Bruce are better for this real safe offense. Dont need a big play guy just some good route runners with good hands to have those 6 yd pickups. I been telling you guys this Off will suck

i would be very happy with battle as the number 3. all the guy does is make important 3rd down catches for us. he's very dependable. i like bruce and morgan as the starters because of their contrasting styles but Battle on another teams 3rd CB is a very good thing. atleast until Jones gets back in the mix. Crabtree at this point i think is too far out to be considered one of our top 3 this year since he basically still needs to see the playbook

Agree. Battle always finds the first down markers.

Morgan really needs to step up & help get this offense going!
